Geez Clarke is really out of touch.

Did anyone see Jimmy Pattinson singing in the mic and Wattobsitting their bemused with a very WTF?!? look? Lol.

Lyon finally has a chance to score the century that keeps getting taken away from him.

Negotiate the first hour, then try and bat all day

If we do that we should only be 50 runs behind the Proteas at worst, maybe even have a lead

Im not too worried at this stage SA were 3/123 in their innings, and Dimminy went on to get a ton - yes for real. We still have Smith and Haddin to come, all the bowlers can chip in, plus Warner already at the crease looking for another ton, he get going he will kill SA

all sweet, no need to panic

Classic Shaun Marsh. Looks amazing in the first test and plays at one he shouldn't in the second. Terrible batting from our top order. Need a couple of centuries to get us out of this mess.

its about time Clarkey stood up and made some runs, he is one of the reasons our top order is not firing atm

It would be nice if Pup didn't leave it for the rest of the batsmen. See off the first half hour and we will cash in

An out of form captain doesn't matter when we're winning. But if we were to lose a few in a row the media would start getting on his back. Hopefully a big score from Pup in his 2nd dig.

Or until both bowl on it...
Exactly....

Steyn and Philander have proved themselves to be the best bowlers in the world by performing for a number of years.

It's incredibly stupid to judge them based on one test match.

The ball is 25 overs old now. It's still threatening but it will be interesting to see how they go when it becomes more lifeless and Australia get a partnership going (especially if Warner is putting pressure on with quick runs). They will eventually have to turn to their pie chuckers.

Too many cricket fans demonstrate "prisoner of the moment" mentality when discussing our opposition and our very own players. The SA bowling attack has been consistently the best attack in the world for a couple years at least now yet some wrote them off as a Zimbabwe type attack after one test.

If we are to climb to the top of the cricketing world we need to show we have the metal to come back from this type of spot away from home. I love Test cricket and we are neck deep in one right now. I look forward to seeing how far we have come as a Test cricket playing nation in a few days time...

yeah, exactly - there is a reason Philander and Steyn are the two highest rated test bowlers, and de Villiers is the worlds #1 bat (his only competition is Sangakarra) and Amla is 4 (and little to debate there either)... they've been outstanding for a long period...

Stupid to write them off on one bad test, and stupid to think this series is over
