lol, Wally Lewis.

A poor man's Steve Mortimer, or Fittler.

lol. Did you ever actually watch a game live and at the ground, or is your knowledge of Wally Lewis's play based on the small part of the field captured by the TV cameras?

Queensland worship/hype/propaganda doesn't make him a great player.

Though he was a pretty good player when there was only 2 teams involved in the competition.

Souths
1 Churchill
5 Fahey
7 Coleman
12 Piggins/Fenech

Fenech might be 9 - they might have changed the numbering by then.

As good as Inglis is, he has to win us a few premierships to take the Little Master's place.

Would people support the use of personal numbers on jerseys ?
Possible to retire a number and really celebrate your clubs history

Been discussed in other threads.

Some like the idea, I think it's a silly grab at merchandising based on other sports.
1-17 works well as is.

If it means so much to people then get their player number at the club under the team logo.

Used in Traitor League.

Didn't work.

Commentators didn't like it.

Couldn't tell who was playing where.

Used in Traitor League.

Didn't work.

Commentators didn't like it.

Couldn't tell who was playing where.

Half of them don't even know the players names, let alone the position they play these days.

Take Halligan's 'Chayse Blair plays front row and is the quickest player in the club' quote for example.

Players change positions during games all the time. Sometimes you see Segayaro and Kingston on the field at the same time, or Thurston, Morgan and Thompson. Who knows what 'position' they are playing? Who really cares?

I don't really mind if they change to personalised or keep the traditional, but to use the commentators as a reason not to change isn't the best argument.
