The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

think Homebush is closer to their "traditional" base in the inner west and easier access from SW once transport is improved though agree it needs updating

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

For west tigers I think the future is - upgraded rectangular Homebush as main home ground. Built in time for new metro and light rail links making it easier for fans from all over Sydney to get there - Leichhardt rebuilt by council into 10k max ground with decent grandstand for local sport...

Parramatta Stadium Rebuild and other stuff

Why are Venues NSW against this? Do they want to keep the car park for games at the stadium?

    2024 Crowd Watch

maybe Dogs can move more games to Belmore to try and leverage an upgrade Souths could do the same with Moore Park - but might not have the same affect as I think they are both run by stadium NSW

    2024 Crowd Watch

yes - the NRL has/had a lot more upside to improve crowds than the AFL which were probably at their highest possible level in the early 2010s

    OT: Association Football

yeah - read about Morocco from the last world cup. They actively contact any decent player in Europe at youth level if they have Moroccan heritage

    2024 Crowd Watch

the AFL has added teams that have dropped their average (e.g. GWS, Suns) while the new NRL teams have generally gotten bigger crowds as well as improving facilities in existing clubs

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

That is probably a fertile ground for potential NRL players from NZ. Probably plenty of NZ born players that are more suited to RL but never got much of a chance or try union first

    2024 Crowd Watch

definitely will make homebush easier to get to for nearly everyone. There is also going to be a light rail as well - though that would not have as big an impact Hopefully the stadium will be a rectangle at the same time that the line opens.

    2024 Crowd Watch

For the easter games the event buses are running due to the easter show and make sense to have a least one big game at Homebush at Easter Is the Tigers v Eels game each easter Monday and alternate between Homebush and Parramatta?

    OT: Association Football

seems like plenty of the Lebanon team are born outside of Lebanon much like their rugby league team

    OT: Association Football

I am guessing it is easier to make the Lebanon soccer team than the Australian one

    Diversifying Rugby League - NRL

Interesting in that article they interviewed a guy who moved over when he was 10 and learnt about RL through school I think it will be the same with other migrants from non-RL countries. It will be their kids who watch/play as they get older rather than those who are fresh off the boat

    2024 Crowd Watch

Roosters used to play Brisbane on Good Friday every year at the old SFS and used to get decent crowds (20 - 25k) - but there was nothing else on that night
