New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

I think if you did that you’d want to separate Waikato and the BOP, and Auckland and North Harbour/Counties-Manukau. That’d give you a pretty even spread of resources.

    Memorable Playoff games

I was living in Melbourne at the time, and that win meant we got a visit to Melbourne to play the Storm in a semi, which I attended, and of course we won putting us into the 2011 Grand Final. That one is up there as one of my memorable, in particular we played a near perfect first half, our pack...

    NRL Rd 27 2024 - General Non-Warriors Thread

Yeah out of the four SH heavyweights I think 3 are approximately on the same level and can beat each other…. and then you have Australia.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Too many North teams IMO- those Eastern and western NI teams are really going to struggle for numbers. I’d Just go Auckland/Waikato+BoB/Lower NI+Wellington/Canterbury/Otago, and even then Otago at least is going to be pretty short population wise.

I also think though that there as a degree of perception around Jones where if the Warriors lost it was rarely if ever his fault, whereas Johnson always seemed to be the first guy the finger was pointed at in a loss. Fair? Maybe, maybe not.

I’m mainly thinking of last year TBH with SJ. I don’t think Jones long kicking game ever reached peak Johnson level.

His general kicking game was decent but not super exceptional, ditto his goalkicking. His short kicking game was brilliant. He had great speed off the mark and knew how to pick a moment to run. His game management was good though I don’t think he was able to absolutely control a game the way...

Josh Addo Carr drug testing controversy

He got caught at a traffic stop though, that’s the problem. Dumb f**k should’ve taken an Uber, not like he can’t afford it

Yeah f**k Scurrah. I actually had respect for the guy at first (pretty much the first thing he had to do as CEO was come clean about Watson rorting the salary cap and cleaning up that mess) but it seemed like he was way more interested in selling jerseys than running a football club that...

Area means nothing if it’s the wrong f**king shape, that site is L shaped and you need a square or rectangle for a stadium

Just imagine what the Cleary era could’ve turned into. We got the missing peice of the puzzle in SJ and made the GF…. I think we could’ve gone one better

Disagree there, he’s our equal best 7 with Jones, can’t really split their records.
