    NSW Cup

Yeah pretty much, the sightlines are ordinary because of the ground shape but the vibe of the place is great, and you always get a great atmosphere with a crowd of 8972 in the place (even if 1/4 of them are dogs). It oozes tradition and you end forming your own little traditions as well, one of...

    NSW Cup

Went to the game, thought we were going to get absolutely arseholed at half time. Great comeback by the lads and only just feel short. In the end I think the hometown advantage got the jets home particularly with a very tricky wind that was blowing across the ground. We stuffed a couple of...

    NRL Rd 26 2024 - General Non-Warriors Thread

Manly have really got to start putting Tom on ice in the second half of game as soon as a win is in the bag, on top of having glass hammies the guy just has rotten luck with injuries as last night shows. Its such a shame as he's one of the good guys of the sport as well as being such a dominant...

    Team v Sharks

I wonder how much of this wanting to play a particular position comes down to $$ and player managers. Everyone wants fullback or halfback money.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Ah yeah fair enough that’s obviously not true

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Nah they probably are. Auckland is nearly 1/3 of NZs population and it’s always been the strongest league area. At times it’s probably been more than 50% of the player base.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

The provincial season is probably close enough to what I’m talking about. Has the bonus that it’s a model NZers are familiar with as rugby has always been a provincial model.

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Injuries was the single biggest factor this season but we’ve definitely copped more than our share of rubbish decisions

New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

I'd like to see the return of a semi-pro NZ comp, but it would only work if it was at the 3rd tier. The NZ NRL clubs need their feeders playing againnst Aussies inn Reserve Grade or state cups plus the age grade comps.

Who are the richest clubs outside the NRL?

Yep exactly. It’s not simply about population, it’s about whether an area is catered to for active supporters and the region is already well covered.

    Next coach sacked 2024

That’s exactly what happened at the Warriors this year- copped a pretty bad injury toll combined with a couple of key players getting to the end of their careers and the side struggled.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I’d say the other way round- you get snow up on the mountain but not really down at sea level on the shore where the stadium would be. Canberra more likely to actually experience snowfall in the city due to it’s elevation and inland location.

Who are the richest clubs outside the NRL?

Population wise it’d directly eat into Penrith and Parra’s territories though.
