West Coast with 100,000 members generated 27.268m from membership revenue in 2023. Fremantle with 60,000 members generated 20.193m from membership revenue in 2023.

No. Only Victorian clubs and Brisbane are currently member owned and directed. WA clubs are fully owned by the WAFC. The AFL has board control of 5 clubs at this time - Sydney, GWS, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Port Adelaide. (The SA clubs as part of the handover of the licenses from the SANFL in...

Tasmania keeps throwing money at them to play there. Its not exactly a new thing. That funding will redirect to a Tassie team in 2029.

Everything people accuse the AFL of being bullies for in regard to Tasmania...was irst proposed by Tasmania, whether in its feasibility study, the gemba report, or the taskforce report. In Tasmanias case, they are literally trying to con the AFL into putting an unprofitable team in Tasmania by...

Literally the ones still ongoing. Even PVL has said no bid is dead.

Not yet - still in negotiation. And it says something to me that every other bid has also failed so far. Except PNG. Something may be wrong with this process.

If this is to be believed, then why didnt any of the bidding parties know? You cant just ask people what license fee they WANT to pay. No one will offer something they dont have to.

If the lawyers do their job, theres bound to be penalty clauses for breach of contract regardless of Government or private entity. Or at the very least the contract will specifiy what happens in the event either party fails to deliver on their end. EG. The AFL contract penalises the Tasmanian...

Contracts with the Government apply to subsequent elected Governments for the life of the contract. The 'Government" remains the contracted body regardless of the party in charge.

The TasGov knew this and propsed the funding in its documentation sublmitted to the league for the license. No they didnt. The stadium was a recommendation of the Tasmanian Governments License task force - the cost wasnt demanded by anyone in particular. It was the Tas Gov who proposed 715m...

I dont care if the NRL ask. But I also dont care if the WA Gov say no. Both parties have to do what they feel is right for them...which I guess is why they are still negotiating.
