Sorry, if it helps my Uncle went across to the Bulldogs with Terry Lamb from Western Suburbs at the end of 1983 as their fitness trainer, he trained Bulldogs hooker Billy Johnstone for his Australian boxing title shot which he lost via dq with a head butt. He also trained Tommy Raudonikis in his...

I agree 100% and have been saying this for years, if all teams start doing what the Roosters and the Bulldogs have been doing, rugby league will die a slow death. If it takes the Panthers winning 15 straight premierships for other clubs to start developing their junior nurseries is that such a...

Well it would be different for teams like Melbourne and the Western Bears who are in AFL locations, but yes, teams with weaker junior areas who latch onto an area, develop it and call it their own, most certainly.

There would be different tiers, a player in the catchment area from the local junior competition to NRL should get the greater discount % under the salary cap. Then you would go junior reps e.g. Harold Matt’s, S.G.Ball, Jersey Flegg. Then there should be concessions for long serving players for...

For their last four years of recruiting they certainly do.

Yes but imagine if every club developed juniors, the Panthers have to release players who have come through their junior nursery. So the Panthers should be rewarded with Premierships, but should the Roosters ?, should the Bulldogs ?. Two clubs who just continue to buy players here, there and...

Seriously though where is the reward in developing players, the salary cap is a complete joke in regards to this, until that changes clubs will just continue to pilfer from others.

The Bears play Newtown this coming Sunday with the winner to go straight into the NSW Cup Grand Final, the Jets are in top form so it will be a very tough game. Both of their NRL senior clubs play each other on Saturday with the Storm hosting the Sharks. It will be interesting who the Bears get...

I see that you have added the eyes from this IP Australia logo that was submitted, the Trump Bear, I have to admit that the eyes do look really good. The yellow version looks like a Tiger.

Very clever, I like hearing the thought process behind each logo. More work goes into them than people think.

Let’s not forget defending Hostplus Qld Cup Premiers the Brisbane Tigers are also a Storm feeder club but due to a horror run of injuries in 2024 finished in 11th position.

Totally agree, is your Bear based off these two you found on the IP Australia site (below), I think the WA bid will want their own Bear, similar to the North Sydney Bear but slightly different, a Bear to call their own. I know that the WA bid team lodged the Bear heads below because they had the...
