    18th club, whose next?

He has become a "gun for hire" over the last 15 years, where he has coached five different clubs. Although to his credit, during that timeframe, he has taken three different clubs to a GF. Problem for Bennett is that he doesn't stay long enough at a club anymore. I would love for Bennett to go...

    The Las Vegas Thread

Roosters are doing alright at the moment. Mathematically, Souths can still make the eight.

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

Sunday night 6:30pm is the right timeslot for Perth. In the first month, due to warm weather, it already has games in that timeslot. Maybe in the first month, just reduce Perth's home games to one. The rest of the year, Perth hosts 11 games. Also take advantage of a few public holiday Mondays...

    18th club, whose next?

GWS was a new expansion club. St.George Illawarra Dragons is a merged club. IMO, the only two clubs that should have two home grounds in the comp are the Wests Tigers and St.George Illawarra Dragons. Wests, Balmain, Illawarra and St.George all made a sacrifice. IMO, Steelers should've been a...

    18th club, whose next?

One of the reasons GWS is failing is because they play a few home games in Canberra. They are not a full time team in Sydney. This is where the "Perth Bears" need to be wary by taking a couple of home games to NSO.

    WA BEARS

Yep, old Steelers fans get six games a year in Wollongong, so old Bears fans could receive the same amount in Sydney,

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

Yep, this is where the Bears and to a certain extent, the NRL, need to understand. If the WA government is going to provide funding for an upgrade to HBF Park, then they are entitled to have all 12 games in Perth. In those circumstances, the Bears wanting two games at NSO would be an insult to...

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

Magic Round should be an added round and every team plays 25 games. However when the code expands to 20 teams, it could reduce the rounds. Each team might play 22 games. If you add Magic Round, that's 23 games per club, just like Fumbleball.

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

We've heard so much from the Bears, so it would be nice to hear from the WA Govt and see what their plans are for a club based in Perth.

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

Yeah Brisbane 3 will happen. Probably around the time of the Brisbane Olympics and fit right in with the media rights cycle from possibly 2033-2037?? From 2028-2032, it is all about nine games a week with Perth coming in. And from 2033-2037, there's a third Brisbane team, second NZ or PNG...

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

If V'landys wants a big media rights deal from 2028, then Perth has to be team 18.

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

I would love to hear from the WA Govt. and their support for Perth "insert name". If WA Govt. is going to fund an upgrade for HBF Park, then to get value for money, they most likely want all 12 games to be held in Perth. Additionally have plans for COE too.

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

If Perth is announced as the location for team 18 tomorrow, then it is great news for the game. And hopefully later on this year, the NRL announces the winning bid/consortium, whether it's a stand alone, Jets or Bears. This is a proper process the NRL must go through, instead of picking a...

    18th club, whose next?

But if it's the West Coast Jets, and get Bennett as coach, then it will be a case of "Bennie and the Jets".

    18th club, whose next?

The colours could be black, blue and gold. Then it's a case of which colour should be the dominant one on the jersey.

    18th club, whose next?

Looks like Newtown is more relaxed with their list of demands and just want "Jets" to come back. Just need to sort out the pathways. If anything, Perth Jets or West Coast Jets is probably more appropriate compared to Bears or Pirates. Every second week, the team will be on a plane to an away...

    26 June expansion meeting (Predictions?)

Technically, South Sydney had the best start of any club, by becoming premiers in the inaugural season of 1908.

Greatest 17 of the NRL era

Nah I mentioned Gasnier, because he wasn't even talked about as an honorable mention in this thread.

Greatest 17 of the NRL era

I am surprised people have forgotten about Mark Gasnier. Brad Thorn should also be mentioned.
