Such a shame that it was a dud game.

    PNG's back.

    No chance?

    PNG's back.

I used hotels as an example, because the NRL have purchased The Gambaro in Brisbane and The Quest, located next to Shark Park. Of course, the NRL could diversify their portfolio in the future. As a fan, I am trying to find ways on how a PNG club could work in the NRL. How they attract players...

    PNG's back.

On the financial football side of things, the NRL could help out PNG. During the ten year government funding period, the NRL could invest in multiple assets on PNG's behalf in Australia. Maybe buy more hotels. After ths ten year duration, the NRL could hand over the assets to PNG. Another way...

    19th licence, who is it?

Demerge the Dragons and bring back the BHP Illawarra Steelers. Or maybe Perth.....

    18th club, whose next?

I wouldn't mind PNG be based in Australia in their first decade and then move permanently back at home. That way it gives them time to produce local players.

    2024 Crowd Watch

Poor crowd. Why have a Thursday night game? There's only 5 games this weekend and clubs are missing origin players. NRL should down for three weeks. There's three options in its place: *have origin after the GF, with test football now in mid season *women's origin and pacific tests *kick off...

    18th club, whose next?

Tbf to them, PNG Hunters is not their national team. They do have a few players in the NRL like Justin Olam, Xavier Coates and Alex Johnston. And also a few players in England like Lachlan Lam. In a nutshell, they probably have to recruit their entire national team. Question is would those...

Nrl plans for a 20 team comp

I just want what's best for the code. I want to know how PNG expansion is going to work. Couldn't care less about winning an argument or proving a point against an anonymous person online.

Nrl plans for a 20 team comp

In the future, can they survive without government funding? What is the plan? Wealthy backer? Assets?

Nrl plans for a 20 team comp

To prove a point, maybe Andrew Hill should knock back the government funding right now.

    You haven't answered my question.

Nrl plans for a 20 team comp

Unfortunately PNG is stated to have the second highest crime rate in the world. Not something to be taken lightly. As for the Qld Cup, fans in PNG know that it's a step down or a lower grade from the NRL, and therefore is less scrutinized. But a question for both of you. What happens to the PNG...

    PNG's back.

    They probably need Adrian Lam.

    PNG's back.

Sadly you might be right. The thing is, what is the plan after the ten year government handout? Dolphins came into the comp on the back of a healthy asset base of around $100 million. To survive on their own, PNG need assets.

    18th club, whose next?

Off topic: I like to see it too, but I'm afraid the best that could happen in the short to mid term is an increase of games at Win. I like to see us move our Sydney games to SFS 2.0, so we could take advantage of the corporate dolllars and extra capacity. Therefore we could invest that extra...

    18th club, whose next?

Not every Qld NRL club needs to have maroon in their jersey/ logo. In NSW, Sydney, you have Manly with maroon and white. We can separate club footy from SOO.

Nrl plans for a 20 team comp

Imagine a controversial refereeing decision going against the PNG team at home in Port Moresby.

    18th club, whose next?

So there is currently 17 teams in the comp. How many teams could the NRL have one day? 20? 22? 24? Potential areas for new teams: PNG Perth NZ 2 Brisbane 3 Adelaide Sunshine Coast Central Coast Maybe other areas like central Qld, Geelong, Tasmania, Melb 2, Fiji etc For a competition that has...
