Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

No it’s not. It’s an alternate theory as to why he might have left. It’s no less credible than your family reasons theory which today I have informed you has no basis as the quote you keep referring to has nothing to do with his exit from the eels. Even your mate contradicted this theory by...

Mate, I had a quiet day today working from home so had the time.

Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

It’s no more or less plausible. Your source is Facebook? @Twizzle is that a strong enough source to claim that Nrown had issues with MON as fact rather than a possibility and that Nrown provided a reference for BA at Leeds? All we have said is that it is a possibility and Based on the events...

I don’t necessarily disagree with him returning to help JR, but again, it has little relevance to why he left in the first place.

He is also on record in that same article as saying he wants to work with younger players. It would seem that the eels gig aligned pretty well with where we wanted to be. The fact he left fairly quickly after taking the role seems odd...

That’s a plausible assumption of events as well. No more or less than the alternative. That’s all I’m saying. There are strong arguments for both. Have you got sources for those statements you quote as fact at the top of your post?

You’re putting far too much relevance on the Gold Coast move. It’s almost irrelevant to this discussion and the only reason it’s even being talked about is that you’re using “family reasons” from a 12 month old quote, that had nothing to do with moving up there, as the motive for his eels exit...

I agree. I don’t think he’s the type to throw his toys out of the cot. I absolutely think BA is though. There are assumptions in your response, so I’ll add my own. Their positions became untenable and the powers that be obviously sided with the head coach over a pathway employee.

Well then I have an idea as well. If leaving for the Goldie is putting your family first (as you say), then taking the Eels pathways gig in the first place, as well as moving back to Sydney 6 months after leaving for the Goldie indicates otherwise. At the time moving to the Goldie and working...

So you’ve left the door open for the fact there may have been some conflict between Brown and BA and that may have had some influence over his departure. I’m glad we got there in the end.

Please tell me that’s not the quote you are all are referring to. Read it again. That quote was from when he was stepping down from head coaching after the Warriors gig. “The sale listing comes not long after Brown announced he would be calling time on his 20-year-long head coaching career...

Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

I have no idea why he went to the Goldie, neither do you. Maybe he wanted to bank the cash and still have a similar coastal lifestyle. I’m just saying it’s plausible that a conflict with BA may have influenced his decision to leave the Eels. There has been nothing you have put forward that...

Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

But he had a job…at Parramatta…where he is once again employed. The only quote that I can see is that we were going to “miss Browny” when he left. I have no idea either way so this is a genuine question, but are there actually quotes from Brown citing “family reasons”? This statement from the...

Especially when you were a junior coach (with your son in the team) during the period identified as having problematic nepotism issues.

So is it family reasons he needed to leave for or work. I’m confused.

Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

Actually, what is more fanciful is believing that there were “family reasons” strong enough to uproot your whole family and move interstate for, but not strong enough to keep you there for more than 6 months the moment a job offer arose where you just left.

Jason Ryles - Head coach of Parramatta from 2025

Hypothetically, if Nrown and BA had a falling out and the club was taking the head NRL coach’s side over someone in a pathways gig, it absolutely benefits you for future employability reasons to say you’re leaving for family reasons rather than saying you got punted due to a conflict. But...
