    Hopefully, atm the Bears don’t even have a Jersey Flegg but word has it they will again in 2025. The Bears have done well $$$ with their NSW Cup side, especially in remaining competitive without big NRL dollars behind them.

    It is more a tribute to the Western Reds name, with Perth Bears they were afraid of isolating people in the Pilbara and Margaret River etc. Look out for the Swan.

    Not a good look for the club, Pat is a nice guy and a bloody good coach, geez I hate gambling. Maybe Patty was trying to help the bid team raise the $30 million lol.

    Still at the top, apparently covid has gone through the Bears ranks the last week. The Storm play mainly on Thursday nights from now until seasons end so hopefully the Bears may get some players from them but I won’t hold me breath on that. Tough game against the Jets at NSO this coming weekend.

    Last I heard a few of the bids had dropped out, only four being lodged. Pretty sure that was in print media a few weeks ago. Have heard Perth Bears putting final touches on their bid before submitting.

    The battle for 20 will be hard fought, the Warriors have been in the NRL for nearly 30 years and haven’t won anything despite having a whole Country to draw upon. Why would you want to ruin this with another NZ team, especially as it has taken the Warriors so long to get their shit together...

    The Bears NSW Cup go down for the 2nd week in a row, losing 32-20 to the Dragon after being down 26-0 at halftime. The Bears still sit three points clear at the top of the NSW Cup competition table thanks to other results but quickly need to get back into the winners circle.

    With WA, who would be their main rival ?, Melbourne ?. The Reds were actually folded to form the Storm so it would make sense, every season in the CAS titles it is virtually always WA v VIC in the Final.
