The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

obviously that makes sense ;) It would be interesting to see recent polls, but I would think the biggest support for other teams in SA would come from Storm, Warriors and possibly some of the big Sydney clubs from 80s-90s such as Dragons, Eels, Dogs. Im not sure how many travelling fans we'd...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

corners probably could...would also want to buy some land and put a carpark imo. the new article that someone posted about upgrades made mention of increased corporate facilities, but can't comment on that personally.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

100% agree. only 2 Sydney teams averaged more than 16,500 in 2022, as a comparison. not sure of the accuracy, but wikipedia has the dimension as 120 x 80. I dont remember it being too short when the Rams moved there in their second year though.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Its such a great stadium! Honestly, I reckon its at about capacity. If you look at this picture, you'll see the roads on two side. There is also a road not too far away on the southern side. As an Adelaide boy, if we get a team back...it's got to be at this stadium and not Adelaide Oval...that...

    World Cup Squads

My two cents: Not taking the draw into consideration, but just looking at squads...it certainly looks like the weakest teams that the Australia and England teams have had for a while. That being said, I still think the Australia team is the strongest of the field, on par with NZ. I reckon NZ and...

    Redcliffe Dolphins recruitment targets

yep, agree. unfortunately, public perception via the media will have a -ve impact on them coming in. Im hoping Bennett can use his UK coaching connections to land a few players...maybe Gildart is a start?

    Mid year tests in 2022

surely that is the strongest NZ spine for a long time? no weak links IMO

    New North American Competition?

wow, so sad to see this happening again. Its hard to remain excited about any possible growth that comes out of the new league when its going to create so much tension in the country. That being said, the USARL had seemed to stagnate a lot over the last couple of years, from an outsiders...

Round 4 vs. Melbourne Storm Discussion

I know we got smashed last night, but I still dont feel like it's as bad as the media is making out. It was more that the Storm turned it on last night, not that we were terrible. Before last night, we were above storm on the ladder. I dunno, maybe I have blinkers on, ha ha. I thought Milf...

    New North American Competition?

found this article today, seems like it might have some legs to it. Eric Perez is pretty keen on it, and he's been heavily involved over the past few years in Nth America. Some negative vibes on FB though, including talk that much of USARL was clueless to it, which is dodgy...especially since a...

    Hawaii

thats actually understating it a little bit. The US measures its population differently. For example, google the population of LA and it will state 3.99 million, but the entire metro zone is over 10 million. So the island of Oahu, of which Honolulu is located in, is actually just under 1...

Round 7 vs. Gold Coast Titans

I don't know why, but I've never been too sure about Kevvie as coach. He reminds me of Freddy...I think Freddy is so overrated...just got lucky with coming into origin when QLD was at the end of their reign with some all-time greats. I also think Mal was a smart man to get out when he did, cos...

Round 7 vs. Gold Coast Titans

maybe I'm too much of an optimist...but I still don't think its alarm bells like the media says. I was so ticked off with the number of hypocritical comments in the media I read this week. Last year, everyone said get rid of Boyd, then this week Joey said put him at full-back. They said to get...

    California Rugby League

found a post from another forum by someone there, claiming the games went ahead and about 200 people were in attendance. SF 56-LA 12. Will wait for official details to be released.

    California Rugby League

anyone have an update? Reports of bad weather and no live streams happening? Also last minute cancellation of Santa Rosa...possibly due to weather?

    2020 Brisbane Broncos

really? Im normally pretty measured in my expectations, but I think Croft is a huge signing. Not because he's the best player, but because he is the missing piece. I actually think this is all we need to be at least a top 4 team. As long as Milford is back at 6 and Boyd is centre, wing or left...

Redcliffe most likely to be the next expansion team according to the Telegraph

Unlike many on here, I actually agree with most things you say :) However, I do think 2 teams for brisbane, as well as Gold Coast is the right amount. Until somewhere like Ipswich or Sunshine Coast has another explosion of growth and perhaps has the poulation to sustain another...I think one...

    2020 Brisbane Broncos

I have my team as pretty similar to above. Im totally ok with no new purchases...I think the media beat up over the need for halves was actually pretty exaggerated. No doubt, Boyd and Turpin were crap, but we started the year with Nikorima, Bird, Dearden, OSullivan but lost them all...so 2019...

Brad Walter: Oceanic Cup 2020 may have a Final, Women's Tournament planned + much more

agree with the 3 teams being weird. It also makes no sense as far as games played, as you have a team with a bye every week. With 4 teams (2 games a week), you can double the games played in a 3 week tourney...then have a final. Then you could have a 4 team 2nd division. They could be played as...

Fears 2025 RLWC USA may not happen

https://www.majorleague.rugby/ I don't disagree with your comment on the pro teams, especially in more 'traditional' rugby cities in the States. But I do feel US people love cheering on their country and college teams more than pro teams. So that is part of my reasoning behind the importance...
