    You can have a mediocre squad and still be a mediocre coach. It’s not like he did much better when his coaching record is examined under a larger sample size. During his time at the Warriors Kearney still finished 13th,8th,13th and 13th. I’d say he highly unlikely he’s employed as an NRL grade...

    I don’t see how that’s related to being the same reason we haven’t won anything under previous coaches. I think every coach should be assessed on their merits rather than applying a blanket rule to everyone.

    33 is ancient for an outside back/fullback in todays game. The only outside backs in the entire NRL who are 34 years or older at the moment are Michael Jennings and Jordan Rapana.

    That puts Ryles in an uncomfortable situation if he wants to play him somewhere else. Conversely it’s refreshing to see a player answer with such direct honesty rather than using the usual cliches.

    No Crichton, Koroisau, Leniu and Kikau would be a huge equaliser. Penriths attack was ranked 6th this season. Pretty low for the eventual premiers. They won in a soft competition. Look at how many plodders that top ranked Melbourne side has.
