    RIP NRL

It had a huge impact at the time. So did BJ Leilua not passing earlier and not getting back into position quick enough after tackling Cordner.

    RIP NRL

IMO we need to look at why he changed his call. From what I have seen, this has all resulted from having two referees on the field. Cummins only changed his call because Sutton got into his ear. I have personally never seen a game involving a single referee change his call whilst the ball is...

Yep. Add it to the list.

    Worst rules in Rugby League.

Just imagine a trainer is attending a player in the backfield, 40 metres away, with his back to the play. The other team kicks the ball downfield and it just touches the trainer and has no real impact on either the defence or attacking teams contesting the ball. Wouldn’t you agree that a...

    1. Agree. 2. Disagree. Changing the call while the ball is still in play is wrong and sets a dangerous precedent.

    Worst rules in Rugby League.

That’s obviously my feelings too. My proposed changes assume the issue with trainers on the field has already been rectified, and as such, the chance of them actually being hit by the ball should be very, very small. A penalty against a team for that would seem a little harsh.

    Worst rules in Rugby League.

Maybe. In reality the trainers shouldn’t be on the field anywhere near as much as they are anyway. Anything would be better than the current rule.

Yep, the Ben Cummins “Hand of Plod”

    Boy Cordner

Apt you called him Boy. He is a man child.

    Worst rules in Rugby League.

There are two I’d nominate. Both were evident in the Grand Final. 1. Ball hitting the referee (trainer) results in a scrum to the attacking team. Should be changed so that the tackle is replayed. So as in the example tonight, Roosters play the ball again and it’s still the last tackle...

    Trainers on the field

Should have been something dealt with years ago. The NRL just likes to bury its head in the sand. The same with scrums. Either make them fair dinkum or get rid of them.

You’re correct. I’ll edit my post.

No issues with the Roosters. You can only play what’s in front of you. Then again .....

    RIP NRL

Just as Diego Maradonna’s infamous hand ball against England has been immortalised as the “hand of God”, will Cummins’ raised hand going from “6 again to 5th and last” become Rugby League folklore?

Sharks jersey looks awesome. Would love to see you do the Titans again, but with gold the main colour and blue as the stripes.

    Brisbane Broncos after 2019 finals

To be fair, a lot of signings over the past decade have been duds.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

IMO this is mostly from Victorians pushing the narrative that Melbourne and the MCG are the sporting capital of the country, and as such, if you don't have nearly a 100k capacity stadium, you are inferior. 60 - 70k capacity for our biggest rectangular stadiums would be ample.
