    Great work Newcastle. I wonder if we’ll ever be able to achieve the same value of sponsorship for just one sponsor on the front of the jersey. If Beattie delivers and attracts some of the big companies in the country and internationally to support Rugby League, it may happen.

    A bloke at Uni (in Brisbane) used to wear their jersey all the time. They had a following. I think they would have been better of going with Brisbane as their moniker rather than Sth QLD. Either way they were always going to get done over after super-league.

    I agree regarding referees inconsistent rulings, which is partly due to the rule wording. I don’t agree with people complaining when they penalise an infringement.

    I think you are arguing against one out dummy-half running rather than quick play-the-balls. Playing it properly will naturally slow it down to some degree. You could argue one out running is more a fault of the 10 metre rule rather than quick play-the-balls.

    I agree with you. The play the ball is just one area that needs to be cleaned up.

    I agree with the OP regarding the “genuine attempt” to use the foot. Either the foot touches or it doesn’t. Why create another grey area?

    A lot of people are frustrated that the game is being played with scant regard for some rules and others are applied haphazardly. People soon lose interest and watch something else. What we want the game of Rugby League to “look like” is a big issue.

    Which QLD bid would you pick ?

    Brisbane Brothers would be my preferred option. Would work well with a Green and white colour scheme with the leprechaun on their logo too. Have them play out of Suncorp so that every weekend there is an NRL match in Brisbane.

    The old logo was the best, as you have used in one of your designs. I don't know why the State Leagues all have to have the same cookie-cutter logos.

    Would love to see England simplify things as per my dodgy MS paint effort above. Simple white jersey would look better than white they have currently IMO.
