    Is Kev gone?

I had no idea he had a role at the Broncos, and I was quite surprised given Walters’ reported strained relationship with Bennett.

Dally M Night - Your thoughts

Nah, I think I’ll let it slide if you don’t mind.

Dally M Night - Your thoughts

I hear Maggie Thatcher was a mean no-nonsense prop forward back in the day. Although she could never pull off a dinner dress like some of those players last night.

Dally M Night - Your thoughts

That’s interesting. My wife asked me why they have to carry a trophy with a blokes on it. I tried to explain how new the NRLW was and she gave me the stare and said ‘It takes a week to make a trophy’.

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

I don’t think Storm will do anything other than try to slow down the play the ball. I don’t think they’re silly enough to deliberately target Cleary in the wrestle. They might be running forwards at him all night though.

    Is Kev gone?

Broncos’ timing was dreadful. They’ve ensured the drama just keeps getting aired. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/broncos-legend-darius-boyd-exits-coaching-ranks-amid-concerns-surrounding-football-department/news-story/bc75a5edcb7226f498df30a9ffa52721

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

Interesting video analysis by Tamana Tahu on ‘Over the Black Dot’ last night. Penrith spine (Cleary, Yeo, Edwards, Luai) play quite deep off each other, while the Storm spine (Hughes, Papenhuyzen, Munster, Grant) tends to play very flat at the line with more lateral passing.

    Is Kev gone?

Yes, I’m sure the survey monkey review was very respectful. Walters sacking was being talked about in the weeks before finals, particularly by the media. The decision makers at the Broncos wanted to be seen as thorough and shrewd - ‘nobody is above the club, or the front office’. It was pretty...

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

Well, finals matches so far this year have been about launching a massive forward assault early and then capitalising. The first team to get on a roll this way has gone on to win. It could be a bit different with the Storm and Panthers’ ability to comeback from behind, but I tend to think it...

    Poorly Worded Headlines

A bit of a Hobby of mine. Anyone spot any headline errors? I feel sorry for this poor bastard.

    2024-25 Off Season Incidents

So, the off season has kicked off with some idiot in Bali having his phone taken off him by Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh after they objected to him taking repeated photos of the pair. The guy’s friend apologised to the players but the d&*head persisted before the players took action. The d&*head...

    2024 Coach of the year

Well, it’s a really tight race for mine. Any of the three would be worthy winners. Cleary and Bellamy proving that they can both endure disruptions from injury, Origin, suspension etc as well as yearly player departures AND keep their squads playing winning football. Ciraldo lifting wooden spoon...

    Is Kev gone?

But that’s where the debate lays. Did he really under achieve. Apart from going from Grand Finalists to nowhere this season, some are arguing he got the Broncos club into pretty good shape compared to where it was.

    2024 Coach of the year

Three candidates announced: Craig Bellamy (Storm) Cameron Ciraldo (Bulldogs) Ivan Cleary (Panthers)

    Kevin Walters Sacked

Well, as of now Maguire is the only NSW Origin coach to acheive 100% series success. Why wouldn’t the Broncos want him?

    Is Kev gone?

Hard to see Walters coaching elsewhere in the NRL, especially after the way it has all been handled. I mean, there‘s Lots of innuendo about his coaching and no real specific explanation for letting him go. That’s stuff about him always being an ambassador is just rubbish, sort of claiming...

    2024 Retiring and Departing Players

Well, a few good ones going and a few others too. Luke Keary, JWH, Shaun Johnson, Burgess, Joseph Manu, Suallii. So many going while they are still making an impact in games. Who will you miss the most?

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

A lot of ‘us’ and ‘we’ being bandied about here. Didn’t realise we had so many Panthers and Storm ex-players on this forum.

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

I’ll leave it to the experts and its going to be interesting to see what happens. But yes, if it’s worth 5 weeks then the experts have already deemed It probably should’ve been a sendoff. I agree that the professional foul should’ve earned a sin bin. The week before it was Trindall who got a...

    2024 GF | PREMIERS - Penrith 14-6 Melbourne @ Accor

Disappointed that big Nelson will be rubbed out for this match. He got sin binned and penalised but apparently his hit on Collins is worth 5 weeks. Surely if it was really that bad then it shouldve been a send off in the first place. Storm will adequately cover for him but fans are being robbed...
