    Yep I agree - the first few sets set the tone, and the Cowboys definitely started stronger than us. We did really well to turn it around after that, but JFH & Leota etc won't let us do that. So while it's obviously the game plan for the back 5 to take a lot of the work, I want our big boppers...

    Their threats are Drinkwater, and Nanai catching bombs on their RHS (we conceded 3 there last week). Plus Dearden's a tough little bugger, so shorten him up early. If we neutralise these threats, we will win. Go the mighties !!

    Yep that's a fair call, it does waste a bench spot - I probably meant DA is more a backup half, rather than our starting half every week. I don't think DA is creative enough - he's been great when he's been thrown in as a stopgap & is cool under pressure, but I don't feel he can unlock NRL...

    Much as it goes against the grain to admit it, the thing you have to admire about Manly yesterday was that when it mattered, their marquee players took the game on & won. That last try was unbelievable. Our marquee players don't have the same steel (not just Nicho). Except for Nikora.

    Agree with everyone - an absolute joke !! Unfortunately there's no point risking a 2 match ban to fight it - they will say Will could have changed his line. Doesn't help when Gee has positioned himself very poorly - the onus is on the referee just as much as the player.

    The problem with Nicho is he stews & broods on things & over thinks it. The best halves are thick as shit & play on instinct eg Alfie, Joey Johns, Thurston. Whereas Nicho dwells on the past & can't clear his head, so he can't execute under pressure. It really is turning into a major issue for us.

    We should have capitalised on that first 5 minutes after half-time, needed our ballplayers to create something. Then on that last tackle with the defence set, we try a bargeover from Royce - that was stupidity. 12 point turnaround straight from that. :(
