    Letter of the law he is. I hope England sarcastically toss the ball at the stumps after every ball next match and we get through about 50 overs a day.

    I don't think you have a clue if you think there was any indication Bairstow was taking off for a quick single lol. He clearly marked his crease and walked down the pitch. If he was batting out of his crease and didn't return to mark it I'd have no issue.

    Yup. Cowardly appeal from the Aussies. I backed Starc yesterday, but I can't back that action. We want to speed up test cricket to get the 90 overs in, but now who could blame a batsmen for hanging in their crease 20 seconds at the end of the over.

    As a neutral Kiwi it comes down to common sense for me. The catch was cleanly taken, Starc then used the ball for some balance. Would we prefer he face plants or tears a shoulder while holding the ball above his head in that instance? The control of body law I'd clearly interpret as when the...
