    probably likely Dazn “retains” the NRL rights ….after just buying Fox recently .. wouldnt be a good look for whoever made that call ….it would be crazy though to see that massive shift in the subscriber base … Just easier to spend some of that Saudi oil money I think … saves a bit of face...

    PVL will only be thinking about the next deal …not the one after …a lot will change anyway for the next one …things move quickly in that space

    Yes perhaps this might be the case … so I guess some people just don’t pay to watch the Amazon games (for example) and just watch the Netflix games instead ….they might have to head down their local to watch their team 2-3 times a year.. the NRL are going to get their money up front though...

    Welcome to watching sport in the very near future … certainly for the NRL if not the next deal then definitely the one after ..maybe DAZN will pay through the nose for the exclusive non FTA NRL rights this year …. But can’t see it happening the time after … As a comparison …Apparently to watch...

    I hope they have a plan then to get them competitive…normally they don’t do much to help out new teams …except the Storm …and I go all the way back to remembering Illawarra and Canberra joining ….their first few years were painful

    there was a plan announced to spend $25m on it , to be used as a temporary measure before their main COE is constructed in Malaga … This was back in the pre election blow up days though when money flowed a bit more freely...
