Match Discussion: Round 7 vs Parramatta @ CommBank Stadium, Parramatta / Burramattagal

Checking back in after the inevitable. I have got to say the reffing has pretty much killed my enjoyment of the game. How can it only be two weeks ago it is a crack down on direct contact to the head and then first tackle in the game the ref misses a sin bin offence (fair enough in the run of...

Match Discussion: Round 7 vs Parramatta @ CommBank Stadium, Parramatta / Burramattagal

Thought they looked spent at half time. Well I am on holidays so not wasting anymore time on this tripe

Match Discussion: Round 7 vs Parramatta @ CommBank Stadium, Parramatta / Burramattagal

Not sure if I like the body language at half time. They looked pretty tired whereas parra looked pumped. the plus side is their defence is shithouse, if we can hold the ball and stop giving up ground in the contact we can score points. Just have to remind them that they are losers even with...

    Galvin

Remember parra kept Stefano and played him in reserve grade for all except three minutes of a season when he would have started for us because they wanted him as back up. Time to repay that favour I reckon

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

KPP is already off contract for next year. We don’t have to give up Galvin to get him. We would Also still need a back up half anyway. The only way I would be releasing him is if we get an on contract player of similar standing, preferably with parra subsidising their contract

    Luai the tigepie.

    wow, that is not subtle

    Galvin

I think he has proved he has the same attitude as Galvin and probably not worth it

    Galvin

No one is paying attention to the real victim here if Galvin signs with Manly. Poor Onitoni Large, leaves the Tigers because we wouldn't give him a Galvin re-signing clause in his contract. Ditches us to go to Manly, then Galvin doesn't re-sign and goes to Manly and blocks his path again :D

Match Discussion: Round 7 vs Parramatta @ CommBank Stadium, Parramatta / Burramattagal

I wouldn't be surprised if Galvin is named this week but is then a late withdrawal to try and avoid some of the media circus this will undoubtably generate

    Galvin

I always said the same comparison. Another similar player is Wade Graham, he was a great player with ball skills and great short kicking game but was too big and to slow for a permanent 5/8 and became a very good backrower

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Nothing like some good old Tiger self sabotage when it looks like we might be turning a corner.

NRL to buy share of Super League

Wow so I have finally made it on LU, being accused of being an alt, it has only taken 20 years. you can improve the comp without cutting teams which has only proven in the post to alienate fans, not increase them

    Rest of NRL

I think he has had 1 game this year when Bostock was out and he was very poor

NRL to buy share of Super League

I don't get why people think cutting teams from SL is such a good idea. 10 teams is way to low. the NRL took decades, and arguable still hasn't, to catch back up after we cut so many teams after super league

NRL to buy share of Super League

He only played 3 games for Warrington

Match Discussion: Round 6 vs Newcastle @ McDonald Jones Stadium, New Lambton / Awabakal

Feels like this is a very important game, not so much from the ladder perspective but to get some reward for the relatively good footy we have been playing. If we chalk up another lose then it feels like the regulars might start to get that losing mentality again and drag the new comers down...
