    Or round 9 this year.

    Round 14 Vs Sharks

The No. 7 will not back up for the Panthers on Friday night’s clash against Cronulla. Halves partner Jarome Luai and winger Brian To’o also appear little chance of playing against the Sharks. To’o was on Thursday hobbling around the team hotel in Townsville with tight calves...

    Former Panthers in the NRL

Given his size they should use him in the front row ;)

    Round 14 Vs Sharks

Should get a good rest playing your mob. If our minds are on the job it should be all over by half time.

    Round 14 Vs Sharks

Rest To'o rest Yeo. Play one of Cleary or Luai so we don't have to put up with May in the halves. Play Martin. Capewell depends on how he pulls up.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

Latest rumour doing the rounds. A player swap between DWZ and BJ! Some clubs never learn.

    NSW Origin

Typical performance from a Paul Green coached side. Woeful.

    Round 14 Vs Sharks

How dumb is that? Two teams that were top 4 last year playing 5 days after an Origin match. Given the rivalry between the 2 clubs, and how well both are going It would be commonsense for the sides to meet full strength. Typical brain dead NRL. I recall a Storm/Roosters GF re-match a couple of...

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Kenny should be playing more FG than he is. At the very least off the bench.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

I am not sure either. Maybe he wants a backup for Laurie should he go down? That said I would have thought they have enough wingers. They should spend their money elsewhere.

    Former Panthers in the NRL

I bet the Tigers come back with a sharper offer for DWZ. Maguire seems to be keen on him.

    Mighty pennies v the tigpies

Off you go Silverdale. You have had your fun. We will meet again in round 24. When roasted Tiger will be on the menu. To (hopefully) be calved up by full-strength Panthers.

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Brent Read seems to suggest in his column yesterday Capewell was favoured to re-sign with us for a further year until the Cowboys came in with their high offer. Now he could be leaving. He also mentioned because Origin was played at the end of last year the player's bonuses are on this year's...

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

Has to be a bargain buy or someone looking for a chance. We did well with Capewell and Sorensen. Only needed for a year or two until Hopgood and Smith get better. I could go through the whole NRL and pick holes in their teams. The cap is a tough beast. Made worse by clubs going for the quick fix.

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

I don't want a like for like replacement. I would like another tough pig to do the hard work when required. Someone on the lower end of the scale. Someone with a bit of experience that can come in play half a dozen games over the year when required. We have depth, apart from this round. As I...

    Mighty pennies v the tigpies

I think the 17 changes on game day. I wouldn't be surprised if Salmon starts at HB with May to lock and either Eisenhuth or Leniu back to bench. When Fish needs a breather ideally we need a fresh, or at least not tiring Eisenhuth or Leniu holding the advantage.

    Rumoured & Confirmed Signings - Part 5

I agree with you. You have said it for awhile and I said pre season we need another experienced middle to do the pig work. We have many middle options that can grind out metres but only one that does the really hard stuff. Martin can be in another year or two. We just need a player that can play...

    Mighty pennies v the tigpies

I don't mind seeing young kids get a go but by and large the next 5-6 weeks there are going to be some mediocre clashes coming up. Bum teams like the Cowboys are going to be worse with players like Holmes out. They don't have the depth or class elsewhere to cover him. Manly are too top heavy and...

    Round 12 V Dogs

I think so. Either some are thinking about next week or are saving themselves. Very underwhelming performance. Dogs put in to some extent for the first half though.
