French Prime Minister to announce hosting of RL World Cup

You can guarantee union will try to arse rape this World Cup. Our game is tough … especially when posh privately educated union toffs try to stick it to us! But we haven’t had a victory in France for 70 years and don’t hold the whip hand there

    No Australian tv deal yet!

It’ll be shown here. Will just come down to $$. Was a dumb choice to sell to a broadcaster no one had ever hear of but our game is super short sighted. Would be great to sort a deal now though as we’re losing time to promote the tournament

Does anyone know when and how the Tigers will get to Canberra?

Wouldn't be the first time we've waited for the players after a losing game ... but it ain't over 'til it's over

Does anyone know when and how the Tigers will get to Canberra?

Thanks Vic. Yeah, have done that before but was trying to avoid the wait

Does anyone know when and how the Tigers will get to Canberra?

I'm in Canberra and the young fella's keen for a few signatures. I'd rather catch them at the airport (if they fly) or a hotel lobby than wait hours for them after the game on Sunday. Does anyone know their movements?

Daily telegraph facts: rewriting rugby league history

Wests and Tigers have been around since 1908 ... although to be fair, the Tigers side of the partnership died about 7 or so years ago!

    Todd Carney

I'm pretty sure pissing on some unconscious bloke's head that you or your mate has just knocked out in the dunny of the 'All Bar Nun' is generally frowned upon. Barking like a dog at bloke's girlfriends to force blokes to fight is also pretty ordinary. The bloke should be banned for league for...

Best place in Hobart Tasmania to watch SOO3?

Waggon and Horses on Argyle Street used to the best place in Hobart for league. Don't know if it still is.

    West Coast Pirates Bid News

No one associated with superleague thought what they were doing was in the best interests of the game. I'm old enough to remember that this was as clear then as it is now.

South Africa and the Netherlands Join the RLEF

I seem to recall the Tigers did something similar a few years ago as well?

Why is the NRL not doing anything?

For the Pacific nations, while it's probably not as effective as investing in the islands themselves, I suspect that the possibility of securing a lucrative NRL contract would be some motivation for a young islander to play league. The more lucrative the prospect of NRL pay (particlarly in...

Players who have played for more than one country!

One you'll stuggle to find in the stats books: Paul Sironen - Australia and France I saw Sirro turn out in a French jersey against 'Lebanon' at Homebush in 1999, as a curtain raiser to a Tigers - Bulldogs match.

    What's unfolding on twitter?

Would have also meant that Apple Pope could have played footy last year. Seems odd to me (a) that a bloke has to give up footy to be picked by the national team, and (b) that a bloke who's not playing footy can be picked for the national team.

Will Wembley ever be the permanent home of the England national RL team?

Not having a go, but for all the fuss around Wembley, it looks like a pretty ordinary design for watching footy. To me, it's a bit like Homebush vs Suncorp or SFS - too low and flat, with spectators way back from the action (at Homebush, I find myself watching half the game on the big screen...

    "American Rugby"?

CAN (Adrian) MORLeY (a.k.a. the head hunter) keep his tackles below the neck? BTW, answer is no, and there's no U in Morley

RLWC2013 Qualifiers: USA | South Africa | Jamaica

With both club and provincial competitions, and being a strong union country, I wonder if SA might surprise?

    The L word

I think you'll find they weren't allowed to use the name 'rugby', and so called their game 'game of 13'. The law was changed a few years back. BTW, we should never drop the word 'rugby'. It's part of our game and we've got as much, or more, right to it that union. League is a variation of...

Mayhem at AUST VS PNG PMXIII game

A bit off topic, but would be good to see this annual tour expanded to 2 weeks (3 weekends), with 3 games played during this tour. A few games every year might also ease a little of the pendmonium at the grounds (... wishful thinking perhaps).

Another major benefit of the NSW driven expansion of Rugby League

Mate. I love expansion AND I hate the scum-eagles. Best of both worlds I guess.

    RL/RU Merger

The ABC was playing some old classics a few years ago. Was very scrappy stuff.
