Alex McKinnon possibly Quadriplegic - Mclean guilty of dangerous throw - 7 weeks

Makes you just feel sick and empty and numb. NRL is so secondary now...that poor kid has to live the rest of his life not being able to move...absolutely devastating. After hearing a bit about him this week, it sounds like he had bags of potential and would have done well...it's just...

    NSW Team 2014

Hayne's proven he is more versatile than anyone else other than Gidley (but Gids is past it). Therefore Hayne to centre. 1. Dugan 2. Morris 3. Jennings 4. Hayne 5. Morris 6. Maloney 7. Carney 8. Tamou 9. Farah (vc) 10. Grant 11. Watmough 12. Bird 13. Gallen (c) 14. Lewis 15...

One Man Team Syndrome - Fact or Fiction?

I'd argue Cronk is more valuable to our team than Smith...just. If Smith is out, we have Hinchcliffe. If Cronk is out we have Widdop...well...had...

    5-8

It'd be awesome, but not enough money. Especially since we have Finchy as wel as some young guns come through

Pick your teams for Origin I for A View From The Hill

The last couple of weeks has convinced me what the solution to the NSW halves situations should be (but won't happen). New South Wales Blues: 1. Jarryd Hayne 2. Michael Gordon 3. Michael Jennings 4. Josh Morris 5. Akuila Uate 6. Todd Carney 7. James Maloney 8. Tim Mannah 9. Robbie Farah 10...

Players who have excelled in positions they grew up not playing.

Everyone goes on about Cooper Cronk moving to halfback...but what was he in his junior days? At utility he used to come on as hooker a bit...but I know as a youngster he used to be obsessed with accurate kicking...perhaps he was initially a 5-8, got moved elsewhere, and then became a halfback?

    Widdop Gonskiis!!!!

Quite disappointed - he could have had a big future with our club. But it opens the door for the likes of Ben Hampton

    '13 | R4 | Good Fri | Broncos 26-32 Storm | Suncorp

He's needs to do a Mundine and disappear for a few days and resurface overseas - Bellache won't be impressed. I always thought Duffie was a smart footballer - tonight he proved that Waqa is less of a liability in defence...who would've thought that

Top 5 players you wished never left your side?

I hate Soward. He's a whiney little b*tch who is so hot and cold depending on his confidence and depending on how the team is playing. But you cannot deny that in 2010 he was excellent - he and Hornby made an excellent halves pairing. That team under Wayne Bennett's tutelage exceeded all...

Storms Big 3 Players - How many more years?

Hopefully the club staggers their retirements...I assume Smith will be first to retire given his workload, and Cronk will be the last given he started out in first grade a little later...but mid-decade will be a pretty painful time for the Melbourne Storm. I hope we can squeeze another window of...

    Craig Bellamy - 2014 onwards

    Quietly confident he will stay.

Best line up from 16 teams

Based on 2012: 1. Billy Slater (Melbourne Storm) 2. Jarryd Hayne (Parramatta Eels) 3. Greg Inglis (South Sydney Rabbitohs) 4. Jamie Lyon (Manly Sea Eagles) 5. Akuila Uate (Newcastle Knights) 6. Benji Marshall (Wests Tigers) 7. Jonathan Thurston (North Queensland Cowboys) 8. Paul Gallen...

    Anthony Quinn

Thanks. Nice to see we will save a bit of money without him.

    Anthony Quinn

Any news on Quinn's movements for 2013? He's off-contract...and surely now will be looking around ESL...?

NRL convert Israel Folau appears set to retire from Greater Western Sydney

Surely the Eels...or maybe even the Titans after releasing three players in the previous two days??

Ryan Hoffman out injured for next season

And if I were a player, there's no way I'd risk LARS.

Ryan Hoffman out injured for next season

Hope the news is not true. Hoffy was in excellent form, and was fulfilling his post-England football dreams with career-best form. Sad news for the Storm, Blues (most likely) and Australia next year, and terrible news for Ryan...if true.

    Finchy

I really do hope we paid him nothing. No doubt he will conttibute to the team, but I would have much preferred to spend the money elsewhere. We really do need size on our bench, and I'd hate Finch's signing to deny blokes Kenny Bromwich, Lagi Setu or Tohu Harris from getting a spot

    Confirmed Signings - 2012/13

Here's hoping he signed for nothing...can't afford to have guys like Finchy taking up cap space. Surely he would've got a better go at a club actually looking for halves? Penrith?

    Kris Inu = Phil Sigsworth

Cats always land on their feet. Bread always lands butter-side down. So if you duct-taped bread butter-side up onto a cat's back.... *mind blown*
