    I don’t think it’s worth letting him go this year. He is still one of our best players and just needs to find some form. As for next year’s cap space, I’m sure a bunch of it went to signing Walker. The rest can be used to extend promising youngsters.

    We brought Mahoney and Kaufusi through at the same time, from our #pathways. But like the Tigers have realised (but you seem to have forgotten), just because they come through your pathways doesn't mean you get to keep them on unders forever. Eventually they will chase the money.

    It's a fair point. Who cares if you have to overpay merkins when some of their contract is outside the cap! That's why the 2016 side was our best since 2005.
