    Let clubs and sponsors pay players whatever they want. Have an independent evaluation body that allocates values to each player which is used for balancing the cap. It wouldn't be easy nor perfect, but I can't think of a fairer, more effective and more transparent option.

    What's the chance that Inglis defends at fullback and attacks at 5/8? Defence is the biggest worry for AJ while spending half the time at the back reduces some of the running that might be taking a toll on Inglis's knees.

    If Hoppa gets suspended in there lead up to rounds 10-12, should those rounds count? On a serious note, if his employers and teammates (and fans too, I suppose) are OK with it, more power to him. None of my business.

    The ugliest part of the face kick was that he wasn't kicking out to break Thaiday's hold on his legs. He didn't kick UNTIL Thaiday let go. Why? The 'trip' was really a kick too. Looked frakkin' terrible and could have resulted in a horrific injury.

    Assuming we manage to actually score any tries or are awarded any penalties, who is likely to be our goalkicker? In Sandow's absence, Joseph Paulo was kicking a bit. Do you think that's likely to continue? A lot of people don't list Paulo in their starting 13, so that doesn't seem ideal.

    Defence was great. Kicking game was poor, though. They consistently found Storm players on the full while kicking long and took a lot of wrong options kicking short. In contrast, Melbourne pretty much kicked Inglis out of the game.

    He was ineffective last night (and wasn't alone), but was probably the Bunnies' best against Melbourne and Manly recently ... just to mention quality opposition. He is NO WHERE near the defensive liability that Soward is.

    Resting players?

    Reynolds was off the boil for a few games, so the last two games have been a very welcome turnaround. Inglis is the only player I'd even consider resting and that's less 'resting' and more he's just a bit injured.
