The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Are we just basing that the stadium at Penrith will be built because Buzz says so. I think their still be strong opposition that it isn’t built and the business case won’t stack up. I be waiting until the premier actually says he is doing it.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Maybe but I feel spending a heap of money in one seat for what really was a LNP vanity project won't be in Labor's best interests. I strongly feel they wont as for a start it puts Labor offside in may other south-western and western electorates if they do, areas that have been strong Labor for a...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I think at best Labor said they would look at the business case for the new Penrith Stadium. I think they after looking at the business case for a one team stadium will say it doesn’t stack up and it will be scrapped. I highly doubt SCG gets any money either. I have a strong suspicion their...

    South Sydney Save The Game

It is simple really, go back to the rules in 2005. That allowed teams like the Tigers and Cowboys to play fast pace (almost touch football tactics). The game was way better and you saw so many tries scored that started in their own half. Get rid of the dominant and surrender tackle and speed...

    Trainers on the field

Agree with the above, NRL has to show leadership on this issue and tell the coaches were to go.

    Trainers on the field

I hate AFL more than most but the above is correct. Trainers/runners can only come on in an AFL game now when their is a break in play (ie after goal is scored and have to be off the field before play starts again. We just need a rule trainers are only allowed on field in a break in play (ie...

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I say since their is a new A-League team coming that Campbelltown Stadium would have more chance of being upgraded or rebuilt than Penrith Stadium in my opinion.

    Rumoured Signings

Don't see why the Tigers couldn't try to get back a local junior. Jason Taylor was coach when he went to Storm. The Tigers with Madge in charge might look a better club to be at then the one he left. I am sure the $$$ will be greater as well.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I doubt it. You could go with the Parramatta Stadium plans if necessary. Has anyone seen detailed plans for the new proposed stadium? It wouldn't take a long time to design a different smaller stadium for the site.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I think if Labor wins the SFS will get rebuilt, probably at around 30,000 to 35,000 capacity and not have the same gold plating the SCG Trust want. The majority of sports that play their would be happy with the above outcome. The only people that would be unhappy are the SCG Trust and Rugby...

Is it time for the NRL to stand down (with pay) players charged with a violent crime?

The RL Players association are as weak as. They have to take action to support their member. The AFL Players Association would tell the AFL to get stuffed if they tried the same policy. Remember their is no game without players and the AFL Players Association know that and they let the AFL no that.

Y.N.W.A Thread III: Enter 'The Normal One'

Clyne wanted to go. He is a good defender but not offensive minded enough to play fullback under Klopp's way of playing. Fab I am certain plays right back for Brazil National Team and could do the job their if needed for a few weeks. I actually think in about 2 years time we will be looking...

Y.N.W.A Thread III: Enter 'The Normal One'

For me our strongest midfield against the best sides should be Fabinho, Gini (this year he has been outstanding) and one of Keita/Shaqiri. The game against PSG away in the Champions League and today's game show in the biggest of away matches we need a different midfield three than those who...

    2019 NRL Draw

One year would it be too much to ask for the number of times that teams have a five day turnaround be even?

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

My worry about this funding for the Centre of Excellence is that the Wests Tigers seem to have missed out. I heard for ages the club had made a good submission for funding yet we are overlooked again. What is going on, does the Wests Tigers board have no power politically to get the funding?

    2018 home game allocation

I think that Wests Ashfield management like games at Leichhardt the most - it is the closest ground to their club. I wish the Liverpool stadium had been built - prefect location for us. Going forward we have to pick a ground and stick with it.

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

I heard a guy on the radio yesterday saying how great a new stadium at the SFS site would be because the new light rail would go past. I then remember some anti light rail person saying the capacity is only 2,900 people per hour on the new light rail. Doesn't seem like anywhere near the...

Is their a limit on the amount a player can be paid in Third Party Agreements

Thanks for the link. Noticed Third Party Agreements were at $15 million last year. Still think that the whole system needs an overhaul. For mine the only legitimate Third Party Agreements I can think of is the TV ads Billy Slatter does for Bananas and Powerade (although if they are a sponsor...

Is their a limit on the amount a player can be paid in Third Party Agreements

Can't find the answer to this anywhere but a mate told me he thought Third Party Agreements were capped at $150,000 per player. I thought as long as the Third Party wasn't involved with the club (and don't some clubs rort this system) their was no limit to what an individual player could make by...

    DeMerge Magpies and Tigers

This is what will happen. The CEO of Wests Ashfield the club with the money has stated that the NRL side no matter who owns it will remain the Wests Tigers. All these ex magpie fans always say bring back the magpies but it just wont happen and the guy with the money says it wont happen.
