    Most boring/mundane NRL player sightings

Jess Yates on my flight to and from Brisbane last week (business class) Isaac De Gois on Love It or List It Australia the other day. Okay, not really a sighting as such....but geez he had a crummy house (albeit in a nice suburb)

    We bid ye farewell SFS!

Came across this the other day. An undiscovered SFS gem - the mighty Rabbitohs and Steelers from 1997

    24 Hour NRL channel

Yes to this. Came across Billy Slater's All the Tries early on Sunday morning and watched much more than I would've thought. Yes x 1000 to more classic matches, but also one from left field: no commentators. Just show the game, the atmosphere (or lack thereof) and show stats every so often...

    Should have gone to specsavers

Not quite Matt Nable, but Bwaith referred to 'Sorenstan' many times on Friday night, while Blockhead talked about Kieran Holland on Saturday arvo.

    Offsiders

RL talk: Storm, WLM stoush then Smith/Slater spouses. No Origin talk, certainly no other club talk, unlike the 58 hours they spoke about the team running last in the GeighFL. Roy and Holmes sat silent while Undercarriage and Death prattled on.

Had Jeff Hardy a few times, but also Bob Sheens (Tim's brother) was full time PE whilst conditioner at the Sharks.

    Worst experiences/fights at the footy

Back in uni, I was a delivery driver. One delivery I made, the guy said his mate had just run off to the ATM, so we waited a few minutes. The silence was getting awkward, so I asked old mate if he'd watched the Origin game a few days earlier. Old mate said "Nah, I don't watch footy anymore. At...

    Commentator dribble

Nowhere near enough Bwaith in this thread. He was as bad as Gaz when they started, but Gaz has left him for dead (to be fair, not that hard a task) now. Re: competition to find a commentator amongst the public, I believe that's how Jon Harker got his start in the mid 80's?

    Penalty Blitz

You said you'd stop watching until Rd 12. NRL (hopefully) knows a lot of the bluster is just that and any threats of not watching/attending are (mostly) hollow.

    Most boring/mundane NRL player sightings

Both I'd say, but this was not back in the day as in during his playing career, more like 15-20 years ago.

    Most boring/mundane NRL player sightings

On numerous occasions back in the day, Billy Smith and my old neighbours in the midst of long Sunday arvo sessions on the neighbours' back verandah.

    Most boring/mundane NRL player sightings

Also saw Blocker in the crowd at the Lion King a few years (looking very bored at the interval). Tim Sheens' brother was my sports teacher for a while, we also had Jeff Hardy once or twice. Lived in the same apartment building as Brad Clyde. Nice enough guy to chat to in the lift.

    Most boring/mundane NRL player sightings

Saw Mitch Aubusson at the local Vintage Cellars a few weeks ago. Many years ago, Paul Langmack was ahead of me in the queue at the RTA. Thread needs more Boring NRL Guy to lift the mundaneness.
