    2025 Crowd Watch

When I got there the lines at the ticket box were about 30 deep. I think they were making people swap them over for northern grand stand seats. We have lower grandstand season tickets but ended up going up the top. The people sitting next to us had GA hill tickets. So i think in the end...

I would've said more. Southern stand was maybe 1/3 full. North stand upper was packed, lower was scattered. Western stand upper was packed, lower looked ok. Corporates looked full.

Was that really 16k in Townsville? Didn't look big on tv. Broncos crowd doesn't look too good either.

    2025 Crowd Watch

Looking ahead to finals, what are we hoping for crowds? Top 2 (two home games) - Currently Raiders and dogs. Dogs will be great. Raiders wont be. 3-4 (one home game) - Storm and Warriors. Storm as usual. Will Warriors move to Eden Park or stay at Mt Smart? 5-6 (one home game) - Broncos and...

Do they still play GWS games in Canberra? Didn't the state govt pay like 3 mil for 3 games a year?

    2025 Crowd Watch

Yeh I went to buy tickets today at Shark Park. There was like 8 tickets total available plus GA. Turn on the TV and there is about 8000 available. Members not showing up for a 6pm Friday?

Those seats in the northern stand are always the last to fill. Why pay more to sit further away behind a goal post than on the hill at halfway.

    2025 Crowd Watch

I just got a ticket for Kogarah. Pax of 17k. Doesn't look to be too many seats left. Maybe better than 12k?

The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Why has no league club dropped their capacity by a third?

    2025 Crowd Watch

There looked to be almost a whole bay free up on level 4 western side. There was a few spare seats scattered around me in 140. But 80k did seem weird since it sold out ages ago.

Next TV deal discussion 2028 -

I don't really post here much any more so delete if it's too off topic. But I just came across this article from Saturday - https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/skill-errors-poor-crowds-and-a-200m-loss-why-the-league-is-worried-about-aflw-20250704-p5mcgd.html Basically the AFLW currently loses...

While 18k at the gong is great, I'd go as far as saying at least 1/3 of them were parra fans, maybe even closer to 50/50.

    2025 Crowd Watch

Surely being better than an AFL ground to watch rugby league is a pretty low level. I had front row level 6 tickets for grand final last year and didn't rate it. Only thing remotely good is level 4 and even then you're still far away. Granted not AFL ground far away but it's not a good seat.
