Race lines up NRL's quick men

Quality field but I would have Issac Gordon & David Mead in there instead of Greg Inglis & Josh Morris.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

I agree with you that Union has it over league in the speed department (even though I'm a league man). I have no doubt I.Gordon, K.Gordon, Mead, Uate from league would have made a race of it though. As you say Turner's 11.1 sec is hardly flying... Rugby Union have some real speedsters ie...

Race lines up NRL's quick men

Barba surprised a lot of people..I think J.Morris owes him a little wager.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

Issac Gordon would've got closer than Gardner..and where was Uate? He should've been invited to run. Hayne was impressive but can't claim to be the Fastest player until he races all comers ie: K.Gordon, Mead, I.Gordon,Uate.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

To be labelled the Fastest you have to beat the Fastest.. ie: Uate, Kevin Gordon, Issac Gordon, Lawrence, Kevin Locke, David Mead, Brett Morris etc The only fair way is to have the Fastest from each club represented..then let them go for it.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

The race in September has turned into "the most popular FAST football player race" with all codes running. 2 players from Union, League, Soccer and AFL. Hayne & Inglis are nominated for league. This is a shame because it was meant to be the "Fastest Man in League" and it had a lot of people...

Race lines up NRL's quick men

After watching Issac Gordon closely, I would say he is a MUST for this race. He runs quick players down people easily.. He looks faster than Gardner to me, yet Gardner is guaranteed a start.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

Thanks for your reply MENE, it's very interesting... I am certain that the Titans have the fastest relay team in the NRL by a fair margin. Although I am a Bulldogs fan (since 1979) I really enjoy watching the Titans play, especially Kevin Gordon & David Mead because of their speed. I think...

Race lines up NRL's quick men

Fair enough then...Do you have any idea what time Mead runs over the 100m? Totally agree with holding this event annually at half-time in a major game on a footy field in footy gear.. ie: Test or Origin.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

In the interviews I've seen or read with Mead & Kevin Gordon both have said "It's very close, he beats me sometimes and I beat him". I believe they would finish 1st & 2nd if they were both able to run.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

Not sure if I agree with having a race on the track either...They should line up the fastest from each club in full footy gear along the tryline and let them cut loose to the other tryline....100m Can't work out why Hayne is in the race apparently Grothe & Luke Burt are both faster over 100m...

Race lines up NRL's quick men

I would be very surprised if Greg Inglis runs 10.5 sec..he's fast but that's super fast. Shane Whereat ran 10.5 sec but he was a pro sprinter before league. I expect the winner Kevin Gordon to run between 10.8sec and 11sec just shading Inglis.

Forgot to mention Darren Albert..he was a flyer.

Race lines up NRL's quick men

It's been the only event of its kind since Norths and Manly speedster Mike Cleary defeated Ken Irvine in a photo finish in front of 10,000 fans at the Wentworth Park Greyhound Complex in 1964. Cleary posted a time of 9.7 seconds on a damp grass track to pick up the £1000 purse. Shane Whearet...
