    Ponting announces retirement

Best batsmen in the world between 2000 and 2010 for both odi's and tests. One of our greatest ever players. He deserves to go out on home soil. He's not the reason we are losing, there are many other players that are doing just as bad.

    Ponting announces retirement

Ricky carried our team for many many years. He should be given the opportunity to go out on his terms. There are other players (Hughes, Johnson, Haddin, Siddle, Lyon etc. that should be under more pressure) Tendulkar and Dravid had a couple of very lean years before their recent domination...

3rd Test: Sri Lanka v Australia at Colombo Sep 16-20, 2011

I think Ponting has lost his concentration and not his reflexes. He's making starts regularly, but he's lost the ability to go on. It's more mental thing. I think he may struggle against Steyn and Morkel, but he'll churn out the runs against India. In my opinion, he still adds value to the team.

3rd Test: Sri Lanka v Australia at Colombo Sep 16-20, 2011

It's unfortunate that Countries from the subcontintent can't prepare decent pitches. It's always either a road, or something that last's 3 days. It's quite funny to see how much Sri Lanka and India struggle to win matches without the great spinners they once had.

3rd Test: Sri Lanka v Australia at Colombo Sep 16-20, 2011

I'd prefer for it to be Marsh Watson Khawaja Pointing Clarke Hussey Dont get me wrong, I'd prefer Khawaja over Hughes but he needs to put a score on the board next time he get's a chance or he'll go back to the end of the queue.

3rd Test: Sri Lanka v Australia at Colombo Sep 16-20, 2011

It doesn't but first impressions count, and Khawaja has scored nothing but a few 30s. Their both been fairly dominant in first class cricket, but i reckon the only fact that Hughes gets the nod is because he has made a score at test level.

3rd Test: Sri Lanka v Australia at Colombo Sep 16-20, 2011

3 tests and not a single 50. He'll get another opportunity, and rightly so. But he hasn't done enough to dislodge Hughes yet. Hughes probably get's the nod, only cause of his 2 centuries. He'd want to start making some runs though.

Unfortunately Khawaja hasn't taken his oppotunities. Otherwise it would be much easier to drop Hughes.

Daily Telegraph: Feleti Mateo launches Eel attack

By letting Mateo go, we were able to keep Horo and sign Reni...so i'm happy with the decision we made

Is Jarryd Hayne really an awful footballer or is he...

wait till he has a decent 6 and 7 next year, he'll be back to his best.

    Cameron Smith

    He's dirty and grubby and i don't like him at all...but he's a hell of a player.
  14. S

Keep Hayne at Centre, King's defence on standby.

the game was over for us after 10 minutes. At least he did something...most players did nothing.

    NSW side 2012 - what's yours?

I think the only walk up starters are Gallen, Lewis, Hayne and Watmough. These guys are and always have been great origin players and their positions should never be questioned in my opinion. 1. B.Stewart 2. Uate 3. Gasnier 4. Jennings 5. Gordon 6. Hayne (ball running 5/8 with a good kicking...

    Soward's Hamstring Injury

At least he's a half though. Better than playing a second rower.

    Soward's Hamstring Injury

Gidley or Hayne... Lewis and Bird don't have much of kicking game. If he's looking outside the squad, then maybe Carney but i reckon Gidley is the best option.

The Mayhem Of Jarryd Hayne - Is He A 6 Or A 1?

As much as i didn't want Sandow at our club, now i can't wait for him and Roberts to be here. Hayne will be so much better when he doesn't have all the pressure on him.
