Kearney agrees Eels have had a good year

There's another reason why we've struggled to win games this year, completion rates, not our completion rates, our opponents. In 20 games this year, we've only played 2 teams that completed at less than 75%(we won both those games btw). To give you an idea of how incredible this stat is...

Kearney's DUBIOUS team selections/use of the bench YET AGAIN!

In our last 9 matches we've conceded about half the points we did in our first 9 games, that's a massive improvement in my book, and if we compare our defence to the top 5 teams, we compare pretty favourably I reckon. Points conceded last 9 games: Melbourne................74 points...

    Stephen Kearney F#*!$ UP

Yes you guys are right, lets take minutes away from our two best props and give them to a guy that's spent most of the year at Wenty, genius.

    Rumoured/Confirmed Signings 2011/2012

I hope you're right and I hope his name is Slade Griffin, Melbourne NYC hooker, he's built like Brad Drew, very strong runner, averages over 100 metres a game and is stuck behind Cameron Smith. As far as Blackman is concerned, he doesn't run enough and I think he's too small for first grade...

    Rumoured/Confirmed Signings 2011/2012

Loko stays at left centre (heaps of left centres wear number 3). I do like Esi Tonga, a very good signing, however Vai Toutai is a brutal defender and the closer to the ruck he defends, the more pain he can inflict on the opposition.

    Rumoured/Confirmed Signings 2011/2012

This is the backline that I expect to see come round 1 next year. 1- Jarryd Hayne 2- Esi Tonga 3- Jacob Loko 4- Vai Toutai 5- Jacob Gagan 6- Ben Roberts 7- Chris Sandow

Rugby for Dummies (Trying to understand this sport!)

If you watch this play again, you'll find that the maroon defender came across and knocked the ball out of play before the blues players arrived, there was no fumble by the blues. Actually this is a great example of why a grubber kick (a kick along the ground), can be superior to a bomb (high...

    roosters sign mitchell

My post wasn't meant to be sarcastic, I don't rate the kid and I'm glad Kearney is getting rid of the deadwood in the club.

    roosters sign mitchell

He's not a dud, so what that he can't tackle and has a poor attitude at training, he's zippy. Check out his awesome running stats for the last three games, 5 runs for 19 metres, 4 runs for 12 metres and 3 runs for 10 metres. Damn you're right, he is a dud.

    Rumoured/Confirmed Signings 2011/2012

You can count on one hand the number of times in a match that Cameron Smith passes the ball straight off the ground (on tackles other than the last), are you saying Cameron Smith should change his game? I'm sure if Keating was instructed to pass off the ground, he would, it's not hard, but...

    Luke Burt is crap

Just thought of another player Anderson let go, Tim Robinson. He may not be a superstar, but he'll be playing his sixth game of the year for a very good Manly team this weekend. By my reckoning that makes 10, the number of Parra juniors Anderson let go.

    Luke Burt is crap

Here's a list of gains and losses under coach Anderson. Losses: Josh Cordoba, regular first grader. Brett Finch, regular first grader now super league. Joe Galuvao, regular first grader. Weller Hauraki, super league. Kevin Kingston, regular first grader. Jeremy Latimore, regular first...

Team v Saints? (The Ben Kusto Cup)

I'm surprised no-one picked up on why Anthony Mitchell played so few minutes against Newcastle and why he'll most likely be playing park footy this weekend. IMO he wasn't simply replaced on Saturday night, he was hooked. Watch what he does in defence at around the 70th minute mark and you'll...

"I don't think we're too far off tonight" - Kearney, Round 12 Press Conference

Okay then, let me try to convince you that we are THAT bad with some stats, I know you guys just LOVE stats. Last year we ranked dead last in tackle busts, our top four tackle breakers were Hayne, Mateo, Inu and Grothe. With three of these blokes gone, it's left the cupboard pretty bare in...

    Rumoured/Confirmed Signings 2010/2011

Orford is one of the most consistent and underrated halfbacks in the history of the game. In his last 7 years of NRL he's averaged more than 26 try assists per year. As a comparison Cooper Cronk has 13 and 16 try assists for the last two years, Robson has 8 and 3, Mortz has 7 and 7.

    Halfback

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but Kearney and Orford were team mates at the storm for 4 seasons.
