I have a ton of awesome memories from the Balmain years, however there is one that's hazy.
I was originally an Eels supporter, being handed the "follow the blue and golds, or else!!" from my old man. I remember going to watch them train one Saturday morning, and was pretty pumped about...
Whilst I may live in Queensland, I'm a born and bred blue and will continue to support them until the day I die (or perhaps if origin dies beforehand )
The "perennial losers" term gets under my skin though. For the majority of the last 6 years I have been happy with the effort NSW have...
"Mal was making the point that State Of Origin exists because the QLDers were sick of playing against their own state sides whilst wearing NSW jerseys. ."
I must have missed that part in the story. Looks like a by-line that can only be attributed to a goose
I read the article, and posted the relevant line.
I'm not disputing the fact that NSW have panicked over the years, it's completely irrelevant to your argument. You asked someone to post any articles that had Mal's comments, which I did. I even acknowledged the fact that he didn't say "origin...
It may not be "Origin is dead", however he is quoted as. "There's a huge feeling out there that if Queensland is not successful this year that people won't support it [Origin]. It's time for all Queenslanders to stand up and be counted".
I guess it's just your classic qld call to arms crap...
RBM, I don't know why you are trying to over engineer it. The simple fact is that QLD have had the superior team for the majority of the last 6 series. NSW have put in some good performances, however they haven't been consistant, either for a series or for even a game for that matter.
Don't...
I don't know doggiesbro, although his posts are quite entertaining, but I think he just sounds like your average dogs supporter. "Halfwit" would be a compliment to most of them.
I'm a bit confused by all of the hooting and hollering over trial matches. Isn't a chance to test out combinations/new signings etc??
From memory, didn't the dogs have a few good trial wins last year. How'd that work out for them?
I'm a tigers fan, but certainly wouldn't be carrying on...
I disagree, Boyd will offer the knights a lot more than Sandow. He is with his "father", will be told how great he is, and he is a confidence player. Gidley will also benefit from having another decent player in the side. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Bennett will play Boyd at...
It's not too often I see them referred to as Parrar, which makes the "alleged" joke even worse. May have been better in person? And what's a b button?
I just cannot keep up with the kids these days :?
