  1. Generational Player

Rabbitohs signings, rumours and injuries thread.

Chee-Kam's been injured for large portions of his time at Manly so he's never really been able to reach his potential. By all accounts he's been playing pretty well in reserve grade this year and working really hard, I'm disappointed he hasn't been given more of a chance in first grade, has the...

Cherry Evans backflips on the Titans

Prior to this season from a talent stand point I always preferred to keep DCE, I felt more confident in him taking over the lion's share of playmaking duties. But Foran seemed like a future captain who gave 200% at all times. After watching Manly play with one or the other in certain games this...

    '14 // QF2 // Fri // Sea Eagles 24-40 Rabbitohs // Allianz

Manly have been in a bit of a tail spin the last month so it seems like Souths should take this. Catching the high ball and our forward pack have been a real concern, you never know though, most of the other contenders have gone through similar slumps at some stage of the season, maybe this is...

    '14 // R22 // Fri // Rabbitohs 23-4 Sea Eagles // SCG

Who cares if Rabbitohs fans want to write off Manly based on their record, we all saw what happened last season when they did that

    '14 // R22 // Fri // Rabbitohs 23-4 Sea Eagles // SCG

Some of my favourite games from the past few seasons have been between these two sides. With the all the off field garbage happening at other clubs at the moment, Souths have probably benefitted a lot from not having as much media coverage as last year and seem to really be rounding into form as...

    Stewart, Watmough and Matai

Article on the Sydney Morning Herald website, with Foran saying the Sea Eagles should release Matai. Seems kind of stupid for Foran to be talking about this in the media. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/manly-should-release-steve-matai-says-kieran-foran-20140724-zwc0d.html

    Jesse Sene-Lefao

Has been really good this season, probably our best interchange forward. Has looked better than Horo for most of the season.
  8. Generational Player

    Stewart, Watmough and Matai

Still think Stewart and Matai have a couple of good seasons left in them, would hate for them to leave in this manner. Watmough I could live with leaving, surprised he'd ask out of his contract with an apparent $900k on the table for him next season, but he's definitely the most replaceable...

    Rumoured Signings 2014

Yeah and Sonny Bill is leaving next year too and we all know he's only on a couple hundred thousand max.. NO WAY The Roosters would be able to sign a player of Proctor's talent with the salary SBW is freeing up....

    Glenn Stewart TO South Sydney

It's a big loss, but as long as this enables Manly to sign the halves and other key players to extensions then it's fine long term. Losing players to cap pressure is an unfortunate part of modern day football that Manly had, for the most part, done a pretty good job of avoiding so far. The...

    Glenn Stewart TO South Sydney

Anyone with a bit of knowledge about Manly's salary situation know what this means? Will have any space to sign a replacement? Or is it more likely they look to extend their high profile players and replace him from within the current squad?

    '14 // R7 // Good Fri // Sea Eagles 26-21 Cowboys // Central Coast

What's the go with the cowboys anyway? Have they just been out of form to start the season? Or is the team just not as good as people think?

    '14 // R7 // Good Fri // Sea Eagles 26-21 Cowboys // Central Coast

Doubt it, This Manly side has never really been the type to run up the score over crappy teams. They'll score a few tries over a 20-30 minute period then put on cruise control.

    Chee-Kam

Saw that he played NSW cup on the weekend, anyone see how he went? Is he expected to play much FG this year?
  15. Generational Player

    Gifty to go?

As much as it would suck to see them go, i'd rather the Stewarts leave 2 years too soon than 2 years too late. Who would replace Stewart at 13? Buhrer?

Souths to get a hiding You heard it here first
  17. Generational Player

    '14 // R3 // Sun // Sea Eagles 22-18 Eels // Brookvale

Manly will probably have a 20 minute spell at some stage through the game where they look unstoppable and score 3-4 tries, then coast inbetween. Should win easily
  18. Generational Player

    How would they go

I think they'd go quite well, challenge for a medal if not place. Sevens rugby has far more emphasis on the athletic side of things than the technical, so it wouldn't be too much of an ask.
