Good effort defensively by Wenty, but it was a pretty dour game all-round. Looks like BNRU will struggle again this year.

Wests have gone backwards, since 2013. Another poorly run club, considering the finances they have from Ashfield Wests. Blacktown definitely to be the biggest improvers. They have a smart co-coach in Weisner, who is well liked and respected by most players.

100% spot on. They should drop to SS, and unless they improve off the field, stay there. Anyone who has watched fringe NYC kids in RMC, know that they're physically not up to it, bar the rare few. Burwood found that out in their 1st year, when most of the Tigers fringe NYC couldn't handle RMC.

Just another poorly run club...they should be building on their success from 2014, not imploding from within!

How is BNRU allowed to play out of Goddard Park? Any chance of rain, and the ground is closed.

    Ron Massey Cup 2014

Some interesting results on the weekend. Cabra were tipped to account for Auburn - not even close Mounties tipped to easily deal with Workers - defense anyone? BNRU were tipped to get a close one against Colts - ouch! 0-3 and dead last! Magpies and Guilford only one that was close to...

    Ron Massey Cup 2014

Beat Colts 44-24 rnd1, but I think it's fair to say that that is a poor result, as most top clubs have put 80+ on them in the past. Can't imagine Colts have improved that much in 2014.

    Ron Massey Cup 2014

Kingsgrove again doing what they do best. lol Wests have a strong budget. Should be able to attract top level players due to that. Whether the culture is there to hold them is another aspect. Training 4dys a week puts a lot of players off pretty quickly.

    Ron Massey Cup 2014

What they need is quality RMC players not A Grade backups...they also need to be smart about which fringe Norths NSW Cup players they go for. No point getting the ones who won't play many games for them.

    How to develop nines internationally

There already is an Intl nines, run by NSWRL, with a host of developing nations attending in early Feb at Cabramatta. NRL could just pick this up and move it to combine with the Auckland main event.

    Ron Massey Cup 2014

Vast majority of Eagles players have very little time for Wests' RMC coach, so it may be interesting, this relationship.

International Friendly - Japan v Thailand

Also, to add, there were 6-7 players who had either never played league, or had only played a handful of games so it was always going to be a challenge to play teams with Aus based heritage players, who have played the game their entire lives.

International Friendly - Japan v Thailand

I believe there were only 5 players over 35. Hardly the "bulk" of the 15 that toured...if you know there were more than 5, name them.

International Friendly - Japan v Thailand

You need to get your facts right. Firstly, the Philippines side that played Thailand, which only lost I believe 42-12, or thereabouts, had a few of their NRL players. So based on that, Thailand, the Aussie expat one, are a very strong side to only lose by that score. Also, Japan were missing 8-9...
