Nz league will bounce back, all it will take is a decent warriors team, the pandemic hit nz hard. france having professional pathways, png and Fiji is key to growth, I agree league always does things the hard way, but from the 2008 World Cup we have seen growth. Tonga and samoa need investment...

    Well done Greece

Might actually kickstart the Melbourne league scene more too actually, the city has a huge Greek population, but hopefully they pass it back to families still in Greece.

    Well done Greece

Inspiring story isn’t it, I really hope they build on this, and the nrl can help invest in the game in Greece.

Look I’ve loved seeing international league back ! It’s been fantastic, these tournaments are so important to generate interest, the smaller nations need this to aspire too. Do we need more money given to these developing nations ? Yes of course, the heritage players will eventually dry up...

    IRELAND & CHEIKA

Irelands backs just have no punch bringing the ball out, and some of the forwards just look that level below where it needs to be, they tried hard no doubt, but even Lebanon exposed them in the backs in my opinion.

    IRELAND & CHEIKA

Chieka is coaching well, and they have a talented squad, they have for the last 7 years or so, it should be strong for the next 20 years with migration to western Sydney. but Ireland were disappointing to be honest, beat themselves today, they just didn’t have those powerful backs bringing the...

    North England

Thanks red, it still amazes me the lack of expansion within league in even the north of England. People always trash the nrl for stopping the growth of international league, but if you sit back the nrl has done f**k loads more to expand league then in England

    2021 RLWC (C) Wk2 - LBN 32-14 IRE @ Leigh

Ireland beat themselves today, was frustrating to watch, couldn’t hold the ball and gave away too many penalties, but to be fair I think Ireland reflected solid super league players, and Lebanon looked like fringe NRL players, the fringe players are just a little better.

    North England

Why hasn’t places like Newcastle and Middlesbrough, Liverpool ? Bigger towns or cities league heartlands ? I keep hearing that league is a northern heartland sport ?. I’m confused on the history and why it’s only pockets in the north, it’s only Leeds and Manchester?.

I’m hoping the games that matter coming up will draw good crowds , because the games deserve it, like Ireland vs Lebanon, or France vs samoa, maybe even PNG vs Cook Islands.

    2021 RLWC (A) Wk2 - ENG 42-18 FRA @ Bolton

It’s key for France to start well, Samoans are flat track bullies, you let them get confidence in the first 25 mins, you won’t stop them, the French need ti come out of the blocks quick, if they can the ugly Samoans might show up.

    2021 RLWC (A) Wk2 - SAM 72-4 GRE @ Doncaster

Samoans will be flat track bullies here, they will rack up a score, they just can’t handle structure and pressure.

    2021 RLWC (A) Wk2 - ENG 42-18 FRA @ Bolton

Yeah actually better then I thought to be honest, they are gritty, the African French boys looked the best and most powerful to be honest, but they got monstered in the forwards in regards to field position. they need to find a way to address that against the big Samoans, but it might actually...

So anyone think France can keep this close ? At least make it a game ? I hope they can keep England under 40, score a few tries, would be a good result.
