    2015 Crowd Watch part III

81,120 to set a finals series crowd record. Definitely a possibility.

Bought tickets today - PAX is about 27,500.

    2015 Crowd Watch part III

You're completely off - this year will easily overtake 2013 and 2014, and might even be our highest attended finals series ever. We got 20,000 tonight, and we'll get least 100,000 for the three games for the remainder of the week (I'm expecting closer to 120,000). There's another game in...

    2015 Crowd Watch part III

20,521 isn't too bad for tonight - anyone expecting 25,000 was crazy considering Roosters managed 18,000 v Cowboys (Week 2 Final) and 23,000 v Penrith (Week 1 Final) last year. Even Souths only managed 21,000 for a Week 1 Final vs the Storm on the Friday Night in 2013.

    Super 8's

I really like the concept although crowds have decreased after the split which is disappointing. For the Middle 8s, I think they need to incentivize teams to finish higher so teams can't coast if they know they're going to be in the Bottom 4 of Super League or Top 4 of Championship - eg...

    2015 Crowd Watch part III

Not a mistake by Rabs. Will be interesting if the nostalgia factor helps draw a big crowd, but the pessimist in me is thinking it could struggle to crack 5 figures especially after tonight!

    2015 Crowd Watch part III

9145 @ WIN I think people expecting Thursday Night crowds to be a lot better than Monday Night when it becomes a regular feature in 2018 are in for a bit of a surprise...

    2015 Crowd Watch part III

Just bought tickets to Roosters v Broncos Pax: 13,592 Not sure what sort of crowd that might mean at this stage. Maybe 20K?

    Next TV rights deal

Umm, calm down guys. This deal is over 6 years at around $418m a year. The NRL had already got almost half that ($185m) with 4 or even 5 games plus digital and NZ rights to go. My bet is the NRL will end up with about $375m a year, and that's with one less game per round than the AFL.

    2015 Crowd Watch part II

Yeah decent crowd on the Coast, maybe around half full? 12-13,000 IMO Why do they cover the seats behind the sticks with a massive banner but the bays to the side are almost completely full.

2015 NRL Jersey & Sponsorship Discussion

Just looked it up. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/brumbies-land-new-sponsorship-deal-and-could-take-off-in-private-jet-20150211-13bzfy.html No idea how Super 15 teams get such high sponsorship in comparison to NRL teams.

Great news for the titans. Wonder how much they got. Aren't the brumbies getting something like $1.4 million a year?

Double live Friday night NRL games on the way

While both games live is definitely a step in the right direction, for viewers it doesn't change too much - they're still going only able to watch one game live, waiting for the other on replay or occassionally flicking to the other match for live scores. What I would prefer (admittedly, not...

    2017 RLWC - Non negotiables

Final at ANZ - Disagree. Open up a competitive bidding process (for every game including the final), whichever generates the most revenue and is likely to generate a good crowd should get it - whether it is Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland or even Melbourne. Eden Park semi-final - Agreed. Again...
