03/02/07 - Roughie chances/tips today

I haven't made "the call" to my old rugby league coach who is now retired and overlooking Palm Beach making good money with his "spare cash" on the punt - I will hopefully be able to share some tips later in the morning

Anyway ...

Doomben - Race 7/1110m - #1 Mitanni (58.5kg)

I know the trainer (John Wallace) and I have always had a punt on Mitanni who is a last start winner (1400m). A $10 each-way bet is common practise and you should get some nice odds here for the top weight.

Word of warning, prefers 1400m thereabouts - drop back in distance might be a concern.

I was given a tip today for next Tuesday at Taree....

Was told they want a price though so not to go sprooking it :lol: I said my type of bet won't effect the price. I'll post it on here when it's closer to the race.

I actually had a lazy $5er on it mate - so thank you muchly! I was umming and ahhing about it anyway, but there wasn't too much else that caught my eye yesterday so I went ahead and did it.

Also had a $5 on the Magnus/Miss Andretti quinny which paid 16's... so a very good day all in all. Punted a lobster ($20) in total and got back around $120.

Needless to say that's my luck done for the week and I wont touch anything til next Saturday.

Actually backed it because Scriven was on it but if I'd a read this I might have had more on it.Damn.

I'll be having a couple of dollars each way on No Fiction in the first race. Form doesn't look the soundest but I'll kick myself if it wins and I'm not on.
