Interesting write up on the number of one club players going around at the moment who have played at least 100 games.

No surprises that the roosters who have a strong history of cultivating their own talent are at the top of the list with 7.

Souths are next with 6 but we all know 2 of the Burgii don't count because they played in Super League.

The talent poaching Knights are last with 0 (SHAME) and have no less than 3 players who played over 100 games for the side with the most one club players.

In their overall list, you'd have to discount Adrian Morley for the Roosters though. He played for Leeds Rhinos before he signed for our club and then went back to the UK and played for Warrington and then Salford until he retired. Further he had a loan stint of 6 games with Bradford in 2005 whilst he was still playing for the Roosters.

Despite your obvious attempt to make the Knights look bad and the Roosters look good, it's worth nothing the Knights appear to have the third best record in the NRL era behind the Broncos and Warriors.

Why is it that Roosters fans feel the need to try and convince others that they're a good club? Especially this off season.

Its not so much cultivating them, but keeping them. The article says 6 anyway.

We've only got 3 but Watene-Zelezniak, Blake and Campbell-Gillard will all reach 100 next year, injuries permitting. Fisher-Harris and Cleary in 2020. It's a measure of where you are in your player cycle more than anything.

Brisbane = 4
Newcastle = 0
Sydney = 5
South Sydney = 7
Parramatta = 2
Bulldogs = 2
Penrith = 3
Wests Tigers = 3
Cronulla = 1
St George Illawarra = 2
Melbourne = 4
New Zealand = 1
Manly = 2
Canberra = 3

And i thought knights fans were doing so well not to bite.

Anyways, who said anything about juniors?
well that's the strategic plan right? Put nothing into the games future at a grass roots level, have talent scouts bludgeon the junior nurseries of clubs that do and take the most promising juniors at a prime age of development ( around 16 yrs old ) and then claim them as home grown.

not surprised to see Easts leading the comp in this stat. We are well known for producing great players and sticking with them, so of course we'd be doing well in this regard

The article figures on their own are fine, your attack based on relaying limited information back to the forum to accompany it are certainly an attempt to frame it the way you want.

The roosters do all they can for what little juniors they have but let's not let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Anyways, we are in the business of winning comps so yes we will continue to scout and sign talent at every opportunity. Looks like the knights have got the memo because they are finally doing the same thing after embarrassing themselves for 5 years.
