Battle of the entertaining teams, its going to be tough, the Tigers are coming off two losses.

Surprised this game is on a Friday, usually Gould et al have their beloved bunji playing on Sundays.

Dogs by 2.

The Dogs will carve us to pieces. Exactly the sort of side that we struggle against. Big forwards who love offloading in traffic and outside backs who push up in support. It's a recipe for an absolute flogging.

Based off last weeks game we should get belted 30+

However we usually turn up for big games so we will lose by about 10

If Ellis were back I would be more confident.

Best bet is to take a risk and creep the 10m a little and line speed.

Also run smaller quicker men on the hips of forwards running off Kassiano. His lateral movement is awful, he tires pretty quickly and his ability to defend a linebreak by getting back to the line is poor

Tigers can give us a shock if they suddenly decide to turn up. I hope we are not complacent this week. Knowing Des I doubt we will be. Dogs by 12

Love that jumper. Also love Tigers/Eels v Dogs match-ups. So the next couple of rounds will be great watching. I think we'll be too tough with our defense and forward pack but I reckon Benji is due for a big game.

business end of season, i do think the dogs are pretenders. des must think that too , the way they have been adding to their team mid season. hope the dogs can last until finals, as they are one team definitely would like souths to meet

Bulldogs named. As expected Perrett on wing. MacDougall & Jackson on an extended bench.

Good to see Finucane retained, hopefully he gets a decent run. Would love to see Jackson get a run

Pretty happy with the tigers team. Just add Ellis and its full strength (debatable if Moltzen is included)

No more excuses, they have to put in or risk slipping out of the 8

I still think the dogs will be too strong but hope we can cause an upset

Tigers named (not last, amazingly) - Beau at fullback, Sironen back at #6, Iosefa and Reddy on an extended bench.

Debuted for us against Melbourne. Mudgee kid who played SG Ball for Newcastle before coming up through Toyota Cup for us. Second rower.

Any info on 19. Josh Jackson?

A stocky back rower who is a decent defender and runs good lines. Fast for a backrower. More of a centre style backrower than a prop/backrower. Comparable to someone like Alex Glenn. He's got a massive upside and I rate him very highly.

I was going to post this exact same thing. :sarcasm:

Seriously though, he looks like a good prospect; I can see him either taking Corey Payne or David Stagg's spot next year.
