Townsville will join Sunshine Coast (2009) and Toowoomba (inaugural 1996 winner) as premiership winners in their first year of the competition should they be victorious on Sunday.

This will be the Jets' third Q Cup GF after losing to Redcliffe in 2002 (10-34) and Souths Logan in 2008 (18-24). Ipswich also lost BRL grand finals to Valleys in 1988 & 1989.

Sadly, I think Ipswich will be again on the losing side and predict a Blackhawks win by 12.
