Souths to score a sneaky field goal, then the Roosters to score right in the corner to just clinch it in a tight one by the barest of margins to the tuuuuune of.......................64-3.

Roosters looked all class in their game and were the most impressive of the teams in Rnd 1. Look at their side on paper and it's a frightening line up. But the Bunnies are high on confidence and have a pretty good team of their own .... obviously. It could go either way. Hopefully the Bunnies get up but a loss might be good for them at this stage to keep them on their toes. Should be an awesome game. Almost certainly these two teams are going to play in the GF.

Souths 20 Roosters 16.

Roosters will miss Jake Friend a lot.

Penalty count Souths 10 Roosters 6. A good result for the Roosters that would be considering how terrible they are with discipline. Especially Hargreaves and Napa they'll probably give 5 penalties away between them both.

Funny, the Defending Premiers put 28 and 32 on you twice last season

We were carrying nuffies like Remy Casty and FPN last season. Now you have Joel Reddy and Bryce Goodwin to carry. It will be close and no doubt the handicappers will do everything possible to keep you in the game.

The crowd: 31,914.

Should be more but not many Chooks members/supporters will travel.

I personally would like 38-40k there but can't see it happening.

Daniel Tupou comes off his wing way too much and is now a liability and Kenny Dowall doesn't have the best wing defence. Mcilwrick will struggle.

Napa is a massive liability especially with discipline. Roosters should honestly get rid of him.

RTS has to handle the torpedo bombs from Adam. They are very tough to catch especially with the loud footsteps of GI chasing the kick.

Roosters. Souths will think they have their shit sorted out when really they just came up against an absolutely awful Brisbane team.

Na. Idk really.

I don't mind Reddy. He is a solid winger and has had a great pre season. I'm not a Goodwin fan, but he can hold his own defensively. In any case they are just holding spots for the moment while some promising players go around in NSW Cup.

Roosters are going with plodders like Napa and Evans. Frankly I think we have similar quality teams. Roosters have an advantage on the right edge while Souths have an advantage on the bench

It's Roosters fans beating their chest about a strong round one win

Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that Cowboys are perennial slow starters. They were lucky to make the 8 last year with how bad they started the season.

Your point? One is less than 30 and who cares about last time, we are talking about this time.

What number of roosters fans do you predict to be in that 32k? Say 7k at a conservative guess? So given you are happy to blame the roosters fans for not getting 40k, if it does get to 40k it must be a clear indication that we in fact did turn up meaning we would have 15k to your 25k?

If it does get 40k souffs fans will try and say it was 35k of their fans.

I hope at some stage GI gets into space one on one with RTS. This could be comical.

It was comical watching GI one-on-one with Mitchell Pearce in last year's Prelim.

The result, of course, wasn't so funny :(

I dare say he might have meant in the same season. Last time it happened was in 2010 with the Roosters beating Souths 36-10 in Round 1 and then the Roosters beating Souths 18-14 in Round 18.

Ah touché

Interesting I found

2009 Souths 2 Roosters 0
2010 Souths 0 Roosters 2
2011 Souths 1 Roosters 1
2012 Souths 1 Roosters 1
2013 Souths 1 Roosters 1
2014 Souths 2 Roosters 1

So that's Souths 7-6 In the last 13
