Lol i could smash any player if I was allowed to use my shoulder and I'm not even a footy player.

This has "Dwyer tackle of the century " written all over it even though it should have been a blatant penalty.

It's not a great shot to hit someone flush in the face with your shoulder. Can we please clarofy that.

Uhh he was going to obliterate sowards regardless of where contact was made.

Yep a players head is hit so hard it folds into his neck and it knocks him out. It's really classy to cheer that.

Not one player gave a shit about an injured players welfare. Even Roosters and Bulldogs players show that kind of decency.

Hahah just stop it. It was a legal tackle, Wighton flattened him. You're sandy vag about it makes me smile though

Contact on the head of no it's absolutely ridiculous that him moving his free arm around a bit saves him from being reported. This is the dumbest f**king grey area in the entire code.

Well yes the rules are pretty stupid. I'm just not sure where the video ref can step in. I think it was a penalty but not reportable. A little bit of incidental contact to the head at fast speed. I just thought the video ref isn't there to turn over every mistake

My point is it's not a great hit. Just an unfortunate accident.

If a prop was running at me and I was allowed to hit him flush in the face with my shoulder, would that be a great hit? Of course not. I'd get smashed any other way hence why there's nothing awesome about seeing a guy smashed across the jawline with a shoulder.

It was an accident and a clear penalty. I'm not suggesting Wighton did it on purpose. But let's get it out of our heads that it was an awesome Matai like great hit.

Haha what

You couldn't put a hit on like Wighton for starters. Your English shoulders would be torn from your body and your arm would be on the ground.

Secondly the energy Wighton generated sent soward flying.

He didn't hit him flush, most of the contact was around the shoulder, Yes he made some contact with the head but flush? You surely jest.

So you agree, it was a f**king great hit.

You are not allowed to attack the head. It is in the rules of the game.

I'll admit to not having a clue what a shoulder charge in this game is. No-one in the game seems to. The game has a serious problem with this on the eve of the finals. But a tackle to the head is quite another matter. The tackle was quite nasty. I'm absolutely certain he'll get charged and rubbed out for it, notwithstanding the gutless and pathetic way it was handled on-field. I'd be flabbergasted if that does not happen.

And why was the ref saying to Dave Simmons, as Penrith captain "I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt" as he gave Canberra possession? Because he wasn't sure who the Penrith captain was (in the absence of Soward)?
