Laumepe played for the reserves so he will will back in first grade next week you would assume.

That will force allwood and wright to have blinders or they might not be there next week

I'm not even a Warriors fan but I just got goosebumps watching that little intro with that 1995 opener.

I remember that night well.... A MASSIVE, MASSIVE night for Rugby League in NZ.

I think the Warriors and the NRL missed a massive opportunity not opening the season up on a Friday night with this game IMO...

The home of rugby league is pathetic, they have one decent caller and he's a geriatric. Tim Gilbert, seriously!

Crowd looks like a stinker, the Auckland council really screwed the Warriors over.

The council booked a eagles concert in the opening two weeks or something without even consulting the Warriors, that's why they are stuck playing it today and it just happens to be the same day NZ play a CWC Final.

Usually at times like this when I can't think of a reason to cheer for either team, I cheer for the home team. But taking into account the cricket final being on later - I might cheer for the Broncs and hope for miserable day for the Kiwis all round.

As for a tip - Warriors will win easily. Playing at home on a flat track. Johnson will be bringing out all his touch footy skills.

Brisbane will be freaking out. There's a big flaming globe in the sky that seems to be creating both light and heat. Armageddon?

Luckily its New Zealand and it won't be out for long.

Tomkins out = Brisbane win.

He added that the Warriors would take legal action against Auckland Council over the two Eagles concerts held earlier this month at Mt Smart Stadium.

The council's scheduling of the concerts during the NRL season forced the club to play its first two games in Australia and delayed its 20th anniversary celebrations. He said Auckland Council had not sought the Warriors' permission for the concerts.

"We offered to sit down and mediate with them and the [RFA] board came back and said they don't want to talk about it," he said.

"So we've got no choice but to go to court."

RFA spokesman Paul Brewer said on Saturday: "The Warriors are a commercial business franchise and they'll make whatever decisions they feel are in their best commercial interest."

I have a feeling the Warriors are going to fall to pieces here. They don't handle big occasions and the pressure to perform at them well at all.

Nine are such f**kheads.

Kiwi TV have Voss commentating so they waste money to fly Gilbert over.
