Im backing Soward to come good. People are quick to forget how good he was in 2014
If he does it will take a month or so. He looked very rusty in the preseason and is probably going to be hesitant to run after getting belted and injured so many times last year. He needs confidence and it won't come straight away.

Don't think Sowie will be getting any better.

Despite being quick he never really has been a big runner of the footy.

His kicking game was awful last year which was his biggest strength and helped the Dragons win the comp.

I've seen this all before with Campo and i reckon Sowie will also be in the ESL by the end of the year and if Gus had his way he'd already be there. I'd say that 900k contract is too big to move just now.

In saying that the Panthers have more chance to win with Wallace and Soward. Rookie halves take a while to develop and you'd be throwing the season away if you ditched Soward and Wallace right now without Moylan playing.

Should still be a competitve game. The Raiders defence will still be the same old garbage.

We've had good juniors come through and bought well, yet our team still looks so average on paper. Hard to see us getting up with that spine, all four of them combined for about 5 good games between them all last season. We are a one man team and that man is injured, either Cartwright fills the void and has a blinder or we lose.

Wighton is a good but rough rugby league player that suits no position.

Raiders should have a field day against that Panthers side. Some serious WTF selections there. Hopefully we get through with no injuries and get Whare and Moylan back for Round 2. I really fear how bad the team selection could get if we lost more players. Need some great games from Segeyaro and Cartwright to be in this.

That is a pretty strong looking Raiders team. I'm guessing Vaughan, Soliola, and Austin all have injury worries. Makes no sense to have them on the bench otherwise.

Penriff look like they've continued on their merry roll of injury luck. They absolutely need Moylan to be any chance this year. Hopefully he's not the next Tedesco.

He seems to have put injuries behind him.

Lol at losers still whinging about Wighton's brilliant tackle. The suspension was a travesty.

Win or lose, I’m just happy that I can look at a Raiders line-up and not see the words McCrone, Buttriss or Kennedy.
