This one really confuses me. Cows are due for a loss soon but may really want to aim up against one of the better teams in the comp. cows should win but not sure whether it'll be a tight 1 pointer or massive statement victory by 20+

Melbourne are no doubt a good side, but not as good as their position on the table suggests. They've had the dreamiest of dream runs with the draw, and while they've put their last couple of easybeats to the sword quite comfortably, this is likely to be different. I suspect the Cows quite enjoy leading the comp and provided they turn up to play should win this pretty well.

Not sure what to think of Melbourne this year, seemed to click the last couple of weeks but against crap opposition. From memory the only decent team they've played this year were the sharks and they didn't ever look like winning. Toss of the coin here, maybe the Cowboys just on reputation.

Storm to win but not because we are a better side, but because Cowboys a due for a shitty performance. Great logic, I know...

Cowboys in a very close one....

The Storm will throw everything at the Cowboys.... i.e. the team who cost them a grand final last season.

I suspect the Cowboys with enough options across the park to get it done.

Next 2 rounds can put us in outright first so can't see them dropping off in intensity. Cows by 2 in a thriller

Internally, the Cowboys players and fans were not happy with the Manly game....

They certainly didn't go on with it in the latter stages as they've done in other games, but they didn't need to. It looked at one stage like they'd inflict Manly's worst ever defeat at Brookvale, but they got lazy in the latter stages. If they'd done that against Cronulla or Penrith, they would have lost.

I've heard numerous cows players say they are putting everything into the rounds before origin as they know they'll be hammered during those rounds. They won't take the foot off the pedal here.
