That Raiders backline looks great in theory but there's no way they could of kept them under the cap

And just for something really random, Sri Lankan cricketer Russell Arnold sledging Matt Hayden on Twitter about the Tigers winning

I just don't get it, they lose two games, one against the premiers, the other with half of their side out, and suddenly it's the end of the world. Give me a break. You'll be there at the end, no two ways about it.
Fair point, but it must be noted that the Brisbane halves just can't lift their side when they're left exposed.

There is an age difference (croker was 19) but it took croker a year to recover from his miss against the tigers. He is pretty good at pressure kicks now but he fell to pieces for at least a year.

Hunt does put his hands on the ball more being a half but it can take time to overcome a bad f**k up imo. Still it was a tough field goal but he was the one that made it tougher

Hunt is 26 and has played 150 games. He's probably hit his ceiling. He's a good player, if not always cool under pressure. But he's unlikely to develop into a superstar from this point

Speaking of which, pretty positive game for the Tigers halves. Still a bit to work on (that patch in the first half where their kicking game was woeful) but they seem to fight through to play some good footy, linking up together, generally controlling the game well. Compared to a couple of weeks ago Brooks was taking the line on a lot more

To be fair, they got a lot better when Ballin came on. Halatau is not a 9, he's been shoe-horned into that role because he scored a key try 11 years ago from dummy half. He's always been a backrower. It just shows how important it is for halves to get good service.

Yep, good point too, but I thought Milf stepped up leading to that last try of theirs. Hunt has always been inconsistent, and he wouldn't be the only halfback to miss that FG kick from where he was.

He is the only half back that would run the ball over there in that situation though. He would a missed from anywhere, so going for a try probably wasn't the worst idea.
However, it was Blair just standing there with the ball for 20 seconds that screwed it all up.

At least we aren't paying him to stand around anymore.
Sweet justice. Sweeeeeet.

Thought JJ Felisse was great despite his drop early in the second half. Don't think he'll be playing NYC anymore this year.

Some real positives for the Tigers there. Weak links are Halatau and Rankin. Lucky for us that Hunt was the weak link for the Broncos.

Congrats to the Tigers, Sue was a beast and made our forwards look like a bunch of plodders in comparison.

We didn't even deserve to level that up, if we won you couldn't pick a man of the match because they all stunk it up.

What happened to Hunt's running game? He used be deadly with the dummy and go. Especially late in games.

I reckon he second guessed himself on the second last play of the game. If he took them on he might have scored.
It's like he sort of remembered the field goal situation halfway through the play so backed out.

He is an all or nothing player, he should have backed his ability with the ball in hand. Hopefully (for his and Gronko supporters sake) he learns to follow his intuition.

Haha twitter can be so great for weird interactions like that

It's actually a pretty good story. He came To play club cricket in Sydney a few years back, watched NRL and loved it. Lived in the Balmain area so started following the Tigers. He still follows it now and watches the games on his laptop all over the world. Spreading the RL Gospel
