Hate to be a doomsayer but reckon La Nina will destroy this series. No roads in Sydney, Brissie or Melbourne more green monsters for those three matches all of which look certain to be rain affected.

A green lively pitch means a good technique will be needed. Who in our top 6 can be truthfully said to hold one of those. The Poms also for that matter.

Root, Smith and Marnus all are quality and can get through a tough period

Root has been on fire this year, but hasnt done well in Oz in the past

Had to be. His experience, even in white ball cricket, counts for a lot when the change is so sudden.

The calls for Inglis were pretty laughable when he's currently not even playing for WA. He's quality but you just can't pick him right now. Maybe in a season or two if he's still going strong and getting regular WA games

Hope Lyon gets out of the nervous 390's. Seems to have been stuck there a while.

Apparently their will be cake when he reaches 400. How many cakes have gone to waste.

My mate has chucked a lazy $100 on the series being a nill all draw because of the weather.

Its currently paying $501 on sportsbet.

So he is doing rain dances atm.

It would be ironic the english get shortchanged by rain in the Australian summer considering their shit weather all year round

Matt renshaw was a pom.

Marnus was a south african

Dont think it really matters as much these days. If they moved over with there parents when they were kids they cant help it.

I feel as long as they attended high school or did some schooling as a child here in Australia that's good enough for me for them to represent the country.
