Test cricket is back, this test starts in under a week though there doesn't appear to be any coverage anywhere :(

SL have just drawn a 3 days game with Essex (Essex well on top though)

They have one more warm up game before the 3 test series starts

I wouldn't be surprised if they jag out a test win, though poms should still win the series 3-0, 2-1 worst case

BE interesting to see what sort of surface the poms prepare for this.

I want England to get smoked, but it won't happen with the now rebuilding Sri Lankan team.
They're not going to get out of their rut for a few years yet.

Anyone watching? Young Shanaka on debut has ripped through the top order, 3/6 from 5 overs and has the ball going both ways. Poms 3/57 at lunch.

They're bowling to the conditions so far, good fullish length and moving the ball. Mathews' captaincy has been good too.

That said Hales is batting very well, for a supposed T20 slogger he's the only batsman to show any composure so far

Sri Lanka's batting is pretty woeful without sangakarra and jayawardena.

They carried the test team for far too long, paying for it big time now.

Can't stand Jimmy but the guy knows how to get that ball singing in these conditions.
Nice to see a good swing bowler get some rewards.

Anderson's 1st 5 wicket haul at Headingley and he got another in the 2nd dig.

Good to see Bairstow getting another ton. He really has worked hard on his game with Dizzy and is now seeing the rewards. He has been through a rough trot over the years and growing up. Lets hope its good times are ahead for him.
