Why should the Indians get the benefit of a referral in a situation like this, there should either no referrals by anyone, period.

He's an aggressive bloke in general on the pitch. I'd say he wasn't angry at Dravid, just given him a bit of a spray, not personal.

The indians get that type of referral...and so do we.

One way or the other we're playing under the same rules as them.

how hard is it to draw a line on the pitch and not overstep

ffs, I really dont know why these guys continue to do this, its a pretty simple rule, yet the commentators want to blame the rule

bad catching is bad cricket and bowling no balls is bad bowling

I know, it's just the way I see it, if we're playing a game under 'no referral' rules, then I think that should mean no referrals at all. But of course it's not like that, and it's still fair what happened.

And everyone that has spent the last 2 days whingeing at the Indians and why they get to dictate to the ICC and other countries just look at the last 2 days crowds and even more so the ratings that have been very strong.

If they're only going to come here if we agree to no referral system, CA and ICC will happily agree every day of the week. The Indians get what they want because they make money for the game like noone else.

Like most marriages, who makes the money calls the shots. And unlike most marriages, if we divorce them we don't get half their shit.

Regardless of the rule, which is shithouse, it simply wasn't a clear cut no ball. It looked bad when his foot was lifted, but when he first landed it was impossible to tell whether he was behind or on the line especially given the state of the crease at the footmarks. He certainly wasn't over it when he first came down. Terrible call IMO, there was as much evidence that it was behind as there was that it was over.

Less than what England drew, far less.

nobody's fault but the bowler, he overstepped not the BCCI or the umpire

exactly, but it is really hard to take, seeing a wicket get taken away from you like that when the no-ball would have otherwise been missed.

It's still the rules though and we should be happy to see the rules of the game being upheld

I thought the DRS wasn't being used in this series?

Yet they review the No-Ball. WTF?
No balls like run outs can still be reviewed because they don't require special technology. Just a camera and eyeballs. India is against special technology like hotspot, eagle eye etc etc.

Yes they're second only to England for us specifically but we can't play England every season.
A lot of that has to do with Sachin and also a few other batsmen. Could be the last time we see him out here. Would love to see how many people tune into to watch him and maybe Sehwag. The rest make up the numbers.
