This is the worst batting performance from Australia I’ve seen at home in a long long time. Sure there is a bit in the pitch but it’s hardly a mind field.

And it's square on Smith and Labs for me. Khawaja to an extent too although he did get a good one.

Those two are the so called guns. The Demon Barber is in debut against the most in form quick on the planet, rough start. Head and Marsh play the way they play. Those two are the backbone of the lineup and offered less than a bloke making his debut in a position he's just about never played before. The both look like they don't even know what cricket is

You can’t play Darsh and Head in the same team IMO, they are too similar. He’s a walk up start with an average of 30. What are we Bangladesh???

That said it’s embarrassing our batting depth atm.

I agree and I maintain Heads best spot is six too, but I don't think it should matter when you're up against 150 either. Your top 6 should get you at least to that and tbh your two or three best bats should be taking it on themselves.

Labs has shown himself as an incredibly selfish cricketer recently IMO and Smith I don't think is selfish but definitely very self focused.

I'd have Webster in for Darsh personally. Or like I said, Renshaw at the top and McSweeney in the middle. The depth is there, we just ignore it

Tim Lane put a very positive spin on Lyon chasing a wide ball down leg side.

Very next ball he gives him big wraps for spooning one to the slips

So bummed out by this. Bowling from Bumrah was brilliant but batting like this even for a wicket that offers something for bowlers is unforgivable
